These chillers are available in a wide range of capacities from 12 TR to 111 TR. They are easy to in st al l

and commission, and can handle various cooling requirements, aided by multiple compressor con figurations.

Voltas scroll chillers are an ideal choice for various air-conditioning applications, including office spaces, banks,

hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, multiplexes, commercial complexes and process cooling.

MICROPROCESSOR-BASED LCD CONTROLLER:

Three Modes of Operation:

Auto Mode: Auto start-and-stop, programmable for the entire year. Hence there is no need for any operator interface.

Auto Mode facilitates auto restart on power restoration after load shedding or grid supply failure.

Semi-auto Mode: Manual, single button start-and-stop, since further sequence is pr og rammed .

Manual (Test) Mode: Facilitates testing under supervision.

Equalization of Compressor Runtime

The Microprocessor Controller ensures equal running of compressors in multiple compressor units.

This ensures longer life of compressors.

All chillers are equipped with microprocessor controls that provide the following benefits:

Controls and Interlocks

The chilled water pump is interlocked with compressors.

The safety controls are preset at factory while operating controls are field adjustable, depending on actual operating

requirements.

Optional Features

Communication port RS485 for remote connectivity, status and fault indication.

Advanced BMS with ASCII or RTU MODBUS protocol can be linked to Integrated Building

Management System (IBMS).

Limited hardware BMS for remote control operation.

Dual-mode chillers for thermal storage system.

Safety and Protection

Microcomputer Motor Protection Device (uMPD) and Microcomputer Voltage Protection Device (uVPD) protect chillers from phase

unbalance, phase loss, treversal, overload,under / over voltage and supply failure.

Programmed safety features available using sensitive and accurate temperature which protects the

system from:

Freezing Low Pressure Anti-recycle Low Chilled Water Temperature High Pressure

Inlet and Outlet Temperature for Chiller Sensor Error Low Water Flow in Condenser, Chiller

User-friendly Operation

Interface with keypad and 32 character LCD display.

Gives visual annunciation for safety trips.

Self-diagnosis Function

Digital display of all vital parameters such as:

Outlet temperature for Chillers Current Voltage Compressor run hours

Diagnose mode for easy trouble shooting shows alarm history for the last 5 trips with date, time and cause of failure.

Higher Energy Efficiency - Tandem Compressor ModelsScroll chillers from 48 TR to 111 TR use compres sors operating in tandem. This improves the oper at in g

efficiency during part load period s, since the ent ire condenser area is utilized for hea t r ejec tion , e ven

though only one compressor may be in operation.

Capacity ModulationMultiple compressors are used in most of the models, with independent refrigerant circuits . The micropro cess or

contro l le r ensures that only the required number of compressors operate during part load conditions, thereby

saving power.

Operating ReliabilityThe compressor is a no-contact scroll design with the motor, cooled by the suction gas. Higher capaci ty sc ro ll

ch il le rs use tandem compressors with suction gas distribution restrictor, which allows balanced op er ati on of

compressor. The chillers are charged and tested in the factory prior to dispatch, thus enhancing operating

reliability.

Energy EfficiencyA range of sophisticated components such as highly energy-efficient, imported compressor, superior design of

wa te r- co ol ed condenser and chiller, internally grooved, cross-hatched copper tube coil with matched circuitry,

and a microprocessor controller, results in low power consumption.

Quiet Operation

The chillers use ultra-quiet, high efficiency scroll compressors. The condenser fans are designed for low noise levels.

Easy to Install

The chillers are pre-wired, fully charged and run-tested at the factory, saving installation and start-up time.
