I’m proud to present you our first Local Newslet-ter!!
Hopefully, you will en-joy reading what we’ve done so far and get mo-tivated while doing it, since we did a lot!
It’s been just one month since since our LC has got a new reinforce-ment, but as I said, great deeds are already done.
We have new projects, TN takers, media partners, we were on
WLDC, had some parties and so on..
So, let’s start...

16.11.
It must have been weird
(but still flattering) to be
greeted with ovations, but
our new AIESEC Zagreb
members, definitely de-
served it! 22 new mem-
bers were introduced to
our weekly LC meeting
on 16th of November. As
usual, on that occasion we
set some expectations and
those are as noted: mee-
tings duration of max
1.5h, pleasant atmosphere,
critics, freedom of speech.
Additionally, we got in-
troduced with LC trac-
king tool, my.aiesec.net
(how to fill out a profile
and get an e-mail ad-
dress), our functional
teams, TNČ, WLDC and
other local, national and
international conferen-
ces.
23.11.
We had a special guest
from Portugal visiting.
He was an ERASMUS
student with a previous
AIESEC experience. He
shared his AIESEC story
with a definite statement
that he’s rejoining
AIESEC as soon as he
gets home. Message he
shared about AIESEC
was clear.
WLDC was moving clos-
er at that time, so part of
that meeting was about
choosing a T-shirt design.
(as a WLDC delegate, I
can assure you that ours
were one of the best).
Our LCP shared his expe-
rience of EuroCo. He de-
livered a message from
PAI to LC Zagreb that
was something like: „ It's
all about us, working on
ourselves! You can chan-
ge yourself, if you want
to!“
Short update from LC meetings
As you can see on the
left, every functional
team got into it pretty
seriously.
Allegedly, EB’s roll call
won. (AN: I’ve heard
that there has been some
lobbying in the train to
Orahovica when it was
decided.)
TNČ and ROLL CALL contest
Traditionally, new mem-
bers organize a party, so-
called TNČ. This year,
new members did a great
job. It was held in a bar
Kiwi. Party was (almost)
wild!
Second thing of great
importance is ROLL
CALL. Since WLDC
was close at that time,
we had to decide what
should we do, hence the
roll call in party agenda.
And we supposedly have a
winner! :D

We had a special guests
on the meeting. Our
alumni I. Rakamarić
shared her 10 years
long AIESEC story
with us.
Also we voted for our
team building program-
me and got a WLDC
update.
30.11.
After we’d got a Com-
pendium and Brand Exp
education, our LCP in-
formed us that we had
been recognised by
CEE in their newsletter
for good fall recruit-
ment and more than
120 applicants for
TMP.
we were true AIESEC-
ers there — passionate,
devoted, willing to learn
while socializing/
hooking up and partying
all night.
and common share of the
AIESEC vision that happe-
ned there to us. Even thou-
gh he didn’t get elected,
we must be proud of him
for showing the will and
courage to take that big
We received a special an-
nouncement from our
LCP during WLDC: He is
running for MCP !
Probably, it has something
to do with that motivation
WLDC 2012.
Our LCP goes MCP candidate
WLDC awards
So, the story goes like
this. An intern named
Mariana Curvo came to
Osijek to do an in-
ternship. Mariana also
visited Varaždin during
her stay in Croatia and
AIESEC Varaždin made
a shout which goes like
this: “xy: Kad ja kažem
Marijana, vi kažete Kur-
vo. xy: Marijana, all:
Kurvo, xy: Marijana, all:
Kurvo, xy: Marijaaaaaa-
naaaa, all: Kurvoooo!”
It was far most popular
shout during WLDC!
Everybody shouted from
the top of their lungs and
our chairs seemed
extraordinarily amused
by it.
Since nobody came up
with a better idea, it just
stuck. There were some
attempts of modifying it
(“Kad ja kažem AIE-
SEC, vi kažete Hrvats-
ka), but it didn’t work as
planned (we yelled Kur-
vo instead Croatia)
Regardless of the fact that
you all know, it shouldn’t be
left unmentioned here that
we got 4 out of 6 awards on
WLDC Gala night:
Best member recruitment,
Best EP recruitment,
I decided not to use our pre-
cious time, both mine and
yours, to write a long argu-
ment essay about how
WLDC 2012. was one of the
best and how it’s absolutely
recommended participating
in a conference like that, just
to refill your batteries and
keep your spirits high.
Many of you told me that the
best thing that happened
there was the AIESEC Za-
greb rejoinder and I person-
ally share your opinion.
Maybe some of the other
delegates form Croatia will
say that we were a nerdy LC
‘cause of our hard work
there, focused participa-
tion on sessions, etc., but
one has to admit —
Nevertheless, AIESEC in
Croatia is surely in good
hands —Dženita Džindo is
our new MCP elect!
Good luck Dženita!!
Congrats to Leo, Leon
and Recruitment team!
Keep up the good
work!

AIESEC Croatia Shout
and our LCP and VP
OGX as the Best team
leaders.
What to say except:
“We rock!!”
And this issue recognition goes to our Projects team..
AIESEC Zagreb Projects team
has made an impressive start by
now..
They managed to raise 6 TN ta-
kers (Dječja Bolnica Srebrnjak,
Dječji dom Laduč, udruga ZA-
MISLI, Udruga invalida rada Za-
greba, SOS Dječje selo Hrvatska
i Planet zemlja) for 4 projects
(No borders, Joy patrol, EDU-
COSI—znanjem do cilja and a
national ecological project), and
in the collaboration with Finance
Team, send it to Grad Zagreb bid
for funding.
At the very end I want to wish you all
Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
Issue no. 2 is coming in a month.. Until than,
lots of kisses from your PR&MKT Coordina-
tor and take care!

A word from our lovely LCP:
Dear AIESEC Zagreb,
As we are stepping in 2013. I think about 2012.,
and I can't hide my happiness and pride when I see
our growth, and when I see
the big things, that our small IG soon to be LC achie-
ved. We created a healthy fundament for the organisa-
tion
in our city. And I am really excited about AIESEC
Zagreb 2013 , beacuse
I believe that this will be the year of the final come-
back of AIESEC in Zagreb.
As I said, we created a healthy fundament, and by
that I mean OUR MEMBERS,
they are people who are really passionate about the
work and energy
they are investing in AIESEC.
I hope that more and more members will start to share
the passion, beacuse this
is the only way we can achieve our goals and grow
fast and sustainable.
Dear members of AIESEC Zagreb I wish you a happy
new 2013. year.
