The AIDS Quilt 1 I remember the magnificent witness of the AIDS quilt on the National Mall. My daughter and I walked thru its "seams", amazed at the rich lives it connected and recalled--all woven into our fabric. Where is it? I have thought about it thru the years. I would love to see it displayed again, as a remembrance of the meaning those lives taught us and the acts they inspired. I would love to see grandchildren and another generation of kin and friends, of activists and ordinary Americans know the powerful voice of its silence. The strength of its peace shrouded in the gifts of love offered by its panels.
