This course addresses the universe of consumer-directed products, services, and tools — HRAs, HSAs, and High Deductible Health Plans — from defi nitions to implementation to current trends.
Course components include plan design, selection, and implementation strategies, IRS regulations, and considerations for selling. Developing a clear communication plan, assessing client needs, and outlining concrete objectives are all critical to a successful implementation strategy. The Basics of Underwriting
Timely and focused, this course addresses the fun-damentals of underwriting, alternative funding ar-rangements in the market place, and latest industry trends such as transparency.
You will learn about key underwriting concepts, for example, risk, anti-selection, and rating methodologies for fully insured and self-funded plans. You’ll leave this course understanding the nuts and bolts of underwriting in addition to what is new in the industry.
