Art Stud 12nd Sem, SY 07-08Ma. Victoria HerreraRequirements: 1 written exam (take home but answering it requires you to go to several places), group reports, final paper and a group tour (kinda like "make your own field trip"). Her lectures are a bit boring and she doesn't follow a lesson outline so you don't really know the topics to be discussed in class. She tends to be absent and require the class to watch videos about art (any kind) instead. All class inputs are usually done by group, so if you're in her class, make sure you have good groupmates. The load for this class seems light at the start and middle of the sem, but all the work piles up towards the end of the sem. (Planning and executing a tour requires a lot of work + you have to submit a final paper about it) She doesn't return exams or give out grades of reports and papers, so you'll just be surprised with the grade she gives you. Based from experience, she doesn't give high grades.

Art Stud 1Summer, 08-09Gerry Lucenasabi nila, kung sumama ka ng field trip, uno, kapag hindi, 1.25 :)) pero hindi ko pa alam kung totoo yun. marami siyang papers na pinapagawa, mga reflection papers and art critiques, pero isang pahina lang naman so kaya naman. may isang group report tapos may quiz tungkol sa reports, na galing lang sa handouts na ibibigay ng group so madali lang :) may readings din siya na binigay, pero konti lang naman, at sa ngayon (3meetings nalang) hindi pa rin namin dinidiscuss :)) hindi siya de-stressing, pero no sweat GE siya :)

Art Stud11st sem 08-09Mrs. Roselle PinedaWala masyadong requirement. May group reporting at research lang. Tapos may mga pinapadaluhang discussions. May final project din na compilation na maeffort konti. Walang readings. Random discussion lang sa klase. Medyo tibak siya at di gaanong art ang pag-aaralan pero more on activism. For sure she will help you to be socially aware on the different issues around the campus and in the society as well. Wag ka umangal kung required ka mag-rally o tumulong sa mga paggawa ng FEGs. Marami akong natutunan (di nga lang mostly about arts) at mataas din siya magbigay ng grade. Ipakita mo lang ang iyong sense of nationalism at pagiging iskolar ng bayan, for sure makakauno ka.

2nd Sem 07-08Fairly easy reporting (na mali pa yung nagawa ko pero natawa lang siya XD), opt field trip (to a rally and to a home for internal refugees XD), Class project (finals)Out of the, say, 25 meetings (arbitrary yan, for illustration purposes lang), we spent probably a mere 10 meetings talking about art. The art portion was basically about its history, styles, and implications. On other days, she basically talked about the "(plural profanity) in the government" ladeeda. She curses a lot, is an atheist, and is a full-blown aktibista. The field trip we went to was not your conventional field trip. We were made to go to a small rally in UP, then we spent a few hours in her apartment in Sterten Place in Teacher's Village (haha), and then to a home where internal refugee families are hidden from whoever (gov't, military, etc.) AWESOME. And for our finals, we raised some money (10k ZOMG) for the internal refugees. Just be participative, especially in discussions and in your projects, and you're sure to get an uno.

Art Stud 12nd sem, 07-08Dr. Norma RespicioRequirements: No quizzes! No readings! May reaction papers, a group project and a final exam na nagbibigay pa siya ng clue. May bonggang-bonggang field trip pa to Ilocos or Cordillera! Laging nakapatay ang ilaw pag discussions (kasi gumagamit ng something gadget for slideshows of art works). So, kami nina Jessa Pandy at Isay Pamintuan ay... yehey! It's sleeping time! Haha. Pero sobrang bait nito. Very motherly. Wala ako masabi. Di ko talaga alam basis ng grades, pero it's uno-able.

Artstud 2Summer 08-09Sir Manuel Kristoffer GironRequirements: group reports (mahirap to), art activities (okay lang kahit di ka magaling), graded recitations, 2 exams (kung mataas ang frst exam scores at bibbo kayo as a class, pwede niyang icancel ang second exam), loooooooooong papers. dapat bibbo ka talaga dito para makakuha ka ng magandang grade. diligent siya sa attendance at minsan madali siyang mapikon. marami din ang readings. required ang pagpunta ng nat'l museum at may field trip din.  hardcore subject ito at magaling talaga ang prof. passionate masyado.getting an uno is feasible. 

Art Stud 1 & 21st and 2nd sem 08-09Mr. Joey ValencianoRequirements: Pare-pareho lang ang requirements nya for both subjects. 1 reaction paper on an article na ibibigay nya sa inyo the 1st week, tapos 5 reaction papers. Yung 5 reaction papers, 1 sa kahit anong film na napanood mo sa theater during that sem, 1 sa kahit anong music event na napuntahan mo during the sem (madali 'to pag 2nd sem dahil may UP fair), 1 sa kahit anong play na napanood mo during the sem, at 2 sa discussion nyo in class. Ang deadline ng 5 reaction papers ay ang last day ng classes. All submissions are sent through email. Lastly, may individual oral report sa end ng sem. Basta lagi kang present, kumpleto ang requirements mo, at nakikita ka nya, easy 1.xx sya. (Nagvavary ang grades. Hindi namin alam kung binabasa ba nya talaga ang mga papers. Kung medyo sa dulo na ng sem ka magpapass, malamang babasahin nya ito, basta hindi sya busy)

Madalas-dalas din syang hindi pumapasok sa class, due to various reasons. - reaction papers (mga 5 pero madali lang tsaka puwede mo ipasa all until the end of the sem), individual oral report (15 minutes) -always about 30 minutes late (pero hindi nagagalit kahit mas late kayo sa kanya)-complete attendance + complete requirements (huwag niyo na isipin kung bano/boring/joke lang/maikli yung reaction paper niyo) = sure line of 1 (i think same rin sa art stud 2 niya)

BC 102nd sem 08-09Ms. Josefina SantosRequirements: group reports, reaction papers, final project. no exams. diligent din to sa attendance. cool tong subject na to (pumunta kami sa set ng bubble gang, may radio at TV work din). wala siyang breakdown sa kung pano niya binase ung grades namin. yung prof naman late 50s na siguro, matanda, mahina boses, irritable - you get my point.kung GC ka, wag kunin ang subject na to. 

Comm 3Carlo de Pano-mabait, funny and super hindi boring-gives 0.25 incentive if complete attendance-medyo matrabaho sa speeches pero fun pa rin (he is more into the context and delivery naman eh) and you have to have funny speeches or out of the blue/attention catcher ones-kung sisipagan mo, mataas ka; grade range namin is from 1 to 2 lang i guess :)

Comm 32nd Sem 07-08Mr. Patricio LazaroRequirements: 4-5 Speeches, group oral presentation about types of communication (may quiz ang bawat group after each presentation. 2 meetings ang alloted sa isang group), may finals na hinding-hindi mo mapag-aaralan kasi wala sa book or sa presentations ang coverage. Hindi heavy ang requirements, pero ikaw bahala.Side note: Parang may permanent PMS si sir, kaya iwasang galitin.

Comm 32nd sem, 06-07Ms. Teresa Paula De LunaRequirements: That Comm 3 book, reaction papers, impromptu speech, extempo speech, other speeches, a group debate. Does not stick with the book, utilizes her experiences in the communication arts. Magaling din 'to. And damn, mukha siyang artista. Hot. May 0.25 bonus for perfect attendance. Uno si Mary Anne Marayag dito. Special mention. HAHA!

Comm 31st Sem, 07-08Ma. Fabiola R. OrtizThe main requirements are 1 written exam, 1 extemporaneous speech, 1 impromptu speech, 1 prepared speech, a panel discussion & a group interview. She gives lots of group works/presentations (almost every meeting) and she likes people who recites often. If you're taking her class, make sure that you leave a good first impression on her, recite a lot, and don't be late. She doesn't like late comers, nor students who leave class early. She also tends to dismiss the class a bit late, so if you have a class right after her's, you should be a fast walker. Based from experience, she gives high grades to deserving students (who she knows well) but tends to give relatively low marks to others.

CW 10 2nd sem 07-08Ms. Maria Francesca KweRequirements: readings na dapat mong basahin. diligent to siya sa attendance. graded recitations. short papers (gagawa kayo ng poems at mga kung ano ano pa) na sobrang dami. maganda tong subject na to kung mahilig ka talagang magsulat. teacher is very hard to please. uno is impossible. (1.5 lang highest niyang nabigay ever - sabi niya)

English1 (ENG1)1st sem, 04-05Jose Claudio "Butch" GuerreroReadings, Writing Exercises, Finals Dapat may initiative na i-perfect ang grasp ng English grammar at dapat madalas mag-recite Mataray in a good way kasi matututo ka o mas gagaling ka magsulat in English.

PERIOD. hindi lang siya feeling major, feeling niya siya lang ang subject mo for the whole sem. every meeting ay magdidiscuss lang kayo ng readings na dapat ay nabasa mo beforehand, OR ELSE :)) may isang time na nagwalkout siya sa amin kasi hindi kami nagbasa ng readings [actually, nabasa namin, wala lang gusto sumagot ng tanong niya that time kahit alam kong alam naming lahat ang sagot :p] may yahoogroup na doon mo ipopost ang lahat ng required papers (at oo, marami sila), so kung pareho tayo na hindi mo gustong nababasa ng ibang tao ang papers mo, sorry ka nalang, wala kang choice :)) at over the break, may pinagawa siyang malanding paper. kailangan may outline pa plus research at documentation chever. siguro kung nakikinig ka sakaniya ay matututo ka, pero wag kang umasa na mataas ang grade na makukuha mo.NOTE: parang BS Archi pala ito dahil halos lahat ng readings niya ay may kinalaman sa mga building building lalala, at lagi pa niyang kinekwento na yung mommy niya or kamag-anak niya ay nagdesign ng trinoma or kung ano man na sikat na ayala mall.

Eng111st sem 07-08Carmelita/Carmencita [nakalimutan ko na :p] RamirezGRABE. kung gusto mo mamatay, ito na kunin mo. ito ang epekto ng balat sa pwet ni ben :)) JOKE. may kailangan kayong bilhin na libro, mura lang naman, pero every meeting, may ipapabasa siya senyo na poem/story/whatever from the book, tapos gagawa kayo ng paper na nagdidiscuss ng elements ng kung ano man ang binasa niyo. pagdating ng paper mo, humanda ka nang magluksa. babahain ka niya ng mga 4.0 at 3.0 nang wala man lang explanation. hindi rin siya nagbigay ng syllabus at criteria sa paggrade, so wala talaga kaming kamalaymalay kung saan niya hinugot ang 4.0s at 3.0s na binibigay niya. first [and last, hopefully] time ko talaga nakakita ng grade na 3.75 :)) may isang oral interpretation ng poem na umaabot ng 30mins dahil tanong siya nang tanong, dalawang dulaang UP plays na papanuorin, isang group report tungkol sa isang novel, at finals. conyo siya at para siyang si Miriam Santiago [physically at pati magsalita], naniniwala talaga ako na iisa lamang sila, parang si Hannah Montana at Miley Cyrus lang [you get the best of both worlds yeah :p] :)) ipinagmamayabang niya na siya raw ang pinakamagaling na teacher ng Shakespeare blahs. wag niyo na itanong ang final grades namin dahil nakakahiya lang talaga :)) habangbuhay kong pagsisisihan na nilagay ko na one of the worst teachers lang siya at hindi WORST TEACHER sa evaluation. *okay, halatang may galit :))

Eng 121st sem 07-08Ms. Lalaine, Yanilla-Aquino Requirements: isang toneladang readings. group reports (lagi), graded recitation, quizzes (ang hirap lang), 2 exams (sobrang hirap din). Feeling major to na GE. a really annoying prof.WAG NIYO TONG KUNIN.Uno is impossible kahit bibbo ka pa ( sa amin 1.75 lang ata highest)

German 10-11 1st sem, 08-09 Roorkee Ong Book Exercises, Oral Recitation, Composition, Long Exams, Quizzes Dapat game ka (bawal corny!!!) Hindi ka matatakot matuto ng ibang language kasi mabait, approachable at supportive.  Grabe, masaya siyang teacher kasi wala siyang hindi sinasagot na tanong ng students (pag di niya alam, aalamin niya).  Magaling siyang teacher kasi parang naglalaro ka lang sa klase niya at bigla ka na alng magugulat na nag-iisip ka na in German kapag nagtatanong siya.  You learn while you enjoy. 

Humanidades 12nd sem 05-06, Michael AndradaMaraming readings (mga tula, maikling kwento, ganun), isa or dalawang exam, at isang group final project. Wagi si sir; mahilig magjoke at maraming chismis. Napakaentertaining at informative ng discussions. Pakabibo lang at magrecite. Unoable.

Humanidades 11st sem 07-08 Mr. Jimmuel NavalDi siya haggard. Kahit di ka makinig sa klase ok lang. wala siyang exam. May midterm requirement lang na summary ng 5 stories na masayang basahin. Tapos may final requirement na documentary (by group) na madali lang din namang gawin. Mataas din siya magbigay ng grade. May reporting pero parang joke lang. haha! UNOable din!=)

Komunikasyon 12nd sem 07-08, Jayson PetrasMaraming group reports, may librong reference (maliit lang naman, tas andun na lahat ng readings), isa or dalawang exam, isang final project (nung panahon namin, interview ng isang tao). Nakakatuwa si sir, mahilig magjoke. Napakaentertaining at informative ng discussions. May ilang creative at interactive presentations na nakakatuwa din. May 0.25 bonus pag perfect attendance. Nasa libro karamihan ng lalabas sa exam (maliban siguro sa essay? pero yung objective part nasa libro). Magbasa, pumasok, at pakabibo para uno.

Nakaka-aliw at hindi boring.  Dapat makulit ka para makisabay sa kanya.  May respeto sa ibang pananaw. Masaya ang groupwork pero pamatay ang quiz every meeting kasi 10 points lang at pwedeng manggaling kahit saan sa reading-of-the-day.
