An EU-ACP programme of €110 million over 7 years (2002 – 2008) – extended to March 2011

AIMTo increase investment and technology transfers and improve environment for investment in the ACP

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

Eligibility: Intermediary Associations/Organisations & REGs

Budget: Up to € 200,000

Purpose:: - Identify needs in depth Purpose:: - Identify needs in depth

• - Find funding solutions

Timing: 2 ½ to 6 months to recruit

(depending on the success of expert selection)

An e-Community Knowledge Centre to include amongst

Provision of information and IT-related capacity building to beneficiaries

Preparation of “how to” toolkits and manuals on best practices;

Sharing best practice between regions and adapting this to the specific needs of beneficiaries

• Project proposals from the two first deadlines

for the calls for proposals (15 December and

27 February) are under evaluation by the European Commission.

First estimations – last deadlines

• 1st deadline: 30 projects received

• 2nd deadline: 41 projects received

• The total budget for the 71 proposals submitted

today amounts to approximately €80 millions!
