The text I chose is the climax of the story. It is able to give enough details for the readers despite its length. Henceforth, the audience whom I will be presenting to, will not feel too clueless or bored. The meeting of 2 good old friends after twenty years happens in the text I had chosen. Both characters had changed and their meeting led to an unexpected ending. I like how the way the author planned the story whereby we unable to grasp the ending immediately and that it attracts us to read on. The author had indeed impressed me with how the story developed without any loopholes. The text chosen is also the one which showed most emotions as well as the conflict in the story. The emotions are strong but yet relevant. The words used are simple but it effectively depicts the character’s inner emotion with simple actions. For example, the author wrote”his hand was steady when he began reading but it was trembling before he had finished.”This showed how alarmed and angry he felt when he realized his best friend had betrayed him.The text allows the readers to get captivated and engaged in the story easily as well. The story leaves a satisfied ending for the readers and makes the reader feel worthwhile for them to read.
