PLAY THERAPY
Play therapy is a kind of therapy done with children between the ages of 3 to roughly 12 years old. The inner world of the child can be a very complex place and as adults, we are often not equipped, or struggle to deal with the way that children communicate about their emotions and experiences. Play therapy is a space that allows for the child to express themselves in play and for this to then be interpreted by a psychotherapist. This interpretation can then be fed back to the parents. It is hoped that through this process the parents can understand what is going on for their child and how they could assist and support the child further.
