Advantages of StingRay® over older stationary wave products

o Safety – all of our products are developed in conjunction with one of the world’s most

advanced hydrodynamic laboratories. Our stationary wave has been inspected and certified by TUV. There is no more highly respected quality assurance organisation thank TUV.

Furthermore, in addition to our seamless and padded ride surface we also provide surf helmets and vests for training purposes so that even the youngest and most experienced can “surf and tumble” to their hearts content without fear of injury.

o Ride Area – with StingRay we provide the maximum inclined ride area of all the

stationary wave rides! o Product Footprint – as original designers and manufacturers we can provide you

with a ride to suit your available space. o Ride Surface – old stationary wave rides are restricted in their shape by using a “flat”

tensioned membrane. StingRay uses a unique padded and seamless soft ride surface designed specifically for stationary wave rides and the environment that they operate within.

And where the tensioned membrane is a costly consumable, our ride surface is designed for the life of the ride.

o Maintenance – We identified maintenance as one of the headaches of the old type

of stationary wave rides that utilize submersible pumps buried deep within the ride. Due to the potential hazards presented by having very high voltage pumps in the water, it is essential that submersible pumps are inspected on a very frequent basis.

This is costly, requires significant downtime and much of the ride needs to be removed to provide access – which in some cases will also require substantial lifting gear.

Conversely, our StingRay uses specialised pumps that are located within a conventional dry plantroom and there is no need for costly annual maintenance by outside contractors. From what we hear this could save a client as much as $40,000 every year!!

the exciting ride. In contrast older stationary wave rides have an aggressive flow that can “ping” fallen riders on to the back wall. StingRay has a setting to suit everyone ensuring that they are deposited gently onto our soft dewatering area.

ones ride the wave. No other ride has the draw of this unique surfing half pipe – the older rides are flat by comparison!
