Learn to play music in a fun and
nurturing environment.
All ages welcomed. We pick up kindergartners for our program and walk children to aftercare
when it’s over. Let us know if you need this service.
Dear Parents,
Cody’s Keyboard Club teaches children of all ages, levels of experience, talent, and
interest how to play electric keyboards. We bring a keyboard and headsets for each
student to use in class, and they work on music of their choice. We have a new feature
this year - personalized homework plans and email follow-up. We email practice guides
home so that "how to practice" is not left up to your children's memory.
How we teach
We do everything we can to keep our students engaged, including constantly expanding
our music library. The majority of our songs are student requests from the radio and
Disney movies. Our most recent additions are Believer by Imagine Dragons, the music
from Lego Ninjago, Moana, and Can't Stop the Feeling from the movie Trolls and many
more. As soon as new songs become popular, we immediately prepare easy versions
tailored for our students. We also have advanced versions for our more experienced
students. It is always a fun surprise to find out what music the students want to learn.
Non-Music Benefits
An important part of our curriculum is the opportunity to practice presenting in front of
an audience with confidence. In Cody's Keyboard Club, our students exercise projecting
their voices and how to make a good impression in front of a group. We focus on
strengthening children’s self-esteem and confidence. We implement spatial-temporal
reasoning—reasoning in space and time—in our teaching method.
