Reading EntriesReading Entries• To participate you must register. The first 25 to register get a goodie bag.
• Weekly Drawing – Fill out a slip with the title, author, & book rating. One chosen each week. Can only win once.
• Reading certain types of books/materials on a wheel, usually 12 items on wheel. The first 10 to complete the wheel win a prize. The items completed on wheel can be entered into the weekly drawing.

Marietta Library Adult Summer Reading Challenge
2008 June 2nd - August 2nd
How to Participate
1. Read books on the topics/genres (fiction or non-fiction unless specified) listed on the wheel. 2. The first 10 people to turn in the completed wheel will receive a prize. (Final turn in date is August 2nd.) 3. Put entries in for the weekly prize by turning in a book review form. (Any books can be read for these entries.) 4. Weekly drawing results will be available by noon on Monday.
Instead of reading a certain topic/genre you can replace it by coming to an adult program.

Please only one entry per person. You must be registered for the Young Adult or Adult
Summer Reading Challenge to win.
Who: Young Adults & Adults (13 and over) who are registered for the Adult Summer Reading Challenge When: Monday-Saturday of the given week Where: Drop entries into the “How Many?” box
The entry that is closest to the correct number will win the container and all its contents.
Winners will be notified by phone the Monday after the game ends. Prizes can be picked up at the Information Desk after 12:00 p.m. that Monday.
Participants can only win once during the summer.
A big success and easy to do. Gather various containers to put items in (we use candy). Person who guesses closest to the number of items in the container wins.

We did this with flowers, 8 each week, but you could uses pictures of various things (buildings, leaves, exotic animals…). I would also just do one list of 15-25 things/places for the entire program not separate items each week.

Previously I have made up my own word searches, crosswords, & quizzes,
etc. This will be the second year I’ve used the ones included with the SRP. I
include them in the goodie bag. All completed
activities are entered into a drawing with the winner chosen at the end of our
SRP.
