Once you have cre-ated your demand forecast, you can release it to supply planning to guide current and future production and procure-ment until you receive actual sales orders.

Purchase request and Order managementwith SAP Business ByDesign, you can monitor and track all of your company’s purchase requests. On the basis of prede-fined criteria, several purchase request items can be bundled into one document to gain pricing advantages through quan-tity discounts. if you need to handle a pur-chase request manually, the solution pro-vides an overview of potential suppliers and contracts. it can automatically determine the best source of supply and then create and send a purchase order to a supplier. if none of the proposed sour ces can be used, you can send out an rfQ or trigger the creation of a new contract.

you can create purchase orders manually or automatically as a follow-on document to purchase requests or winning quotes. you can configure the software to specify when a manager’s approval is required. for goods, you can receive confirmations from suppliers that indicate their ability to deliver the requested quantity of items by a specified date. in addition, you can track goods and ser vices receipts and
