Personal statement

A Graphic design graduate from the Kirklees college of art and design. I have skills and knowledge essential for most creative industries. I am looking for a job where i can push my abilities and achieve my goals.Currently I am working for First direct, but I am seeking a more challenging job with an increase in opportunities. I believe I have many versatile skills, which can be applied to varied roles in the working place.

I also believe that having a degree shows I have the capacity to work at a higher and more sophisticated level in any task that is presented to me. I have worked in retail for over 6 years, and in this time i have picked up on a lot of different skills, including customer service and sales. i feel like i have the ability to do anything i put my mind to.

Working in a busy team answering all inbound calls from customers, dealing with requests from simple bill payments to mortgage enquiries.

April 2008-April 2013, Cineworld cinema’sTeam member

Answering various questions and helping customers.Handling cash and credit cards, and cashing up tills. The role also involved performing physical tasks such as, moving/lifting and stock rotation, cleaning the screens and foyer.Telephone enquiries,answering calls, taking messages and solving any issues.

July 2006 to September 2007, Shoezone

Helping customers with any of their retail needs and handling cash and credit card transactions. This job also included a lot of physical tasks.

Interests

Music.I enjoy going to live gigs whenever i can. I love the atmosphere and how certain songs bring back memories.

Design.Of course design plays a big part of my life. Coming from a creative background, i always try to find time to create my own design briefs to keep up with ongoing trends.

Living life.We only get one shot at life so i try my very best to get the most out of it. This includes spending as much time with my family and friends as possible. I’m really keen to start travelling too and start exploring different cultures.

Skills

Computing.I have extensive experience using the adobe software suite. EDCL qualifications in MS word, access, powerpoint and excel.

Driving.Full current clean driving licence.
