Seminars

1. Our chapter together with YSU scientific society of Physics faculty organized a seminar about

using Wolfram language to solve physical problems. Seminar was presented by president of our

chapter David Baghdasaryan. During the seminar were presented the large opportunities of

Wolfram language in calculations of physical processes and systems.

2. YSU SPIE student chapter vice-president Razmik Aramyan during the local seminars

presented "The Maxwell demon and information theory". It was told from were appeared the

conception about “Maxwell’s demon”, how is it connected with the second law of

thermodynamics and information theory (http://www.ysu.am/sss/hy/1512369732).

The Big World of Physics

In order to realize our project “The big world of physics” we went about 250 km away from Yerevan: we

visited the school of the village Shinuhayr in the community Tatev of the Syunik region.

During the 3-day visit, training courses were organized by our chapter members Razmik Aramyan,

Vagharshak Hakobyan and Vardazar Kotanjyan. In these courses they explain for the school children

some elementary concepts of optics as well as green energy and ecologically clean solutions for problems

in agriculture. Our chapter members also presented fascinating phenomena and their applications in order

to encourage the pupils to study physics.

Student Chapter, the Armenian TC of International Commission for Optics, the Russian-Armenian University

(RAU) the Institute for Physical Research of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (IPR), LT-PYRKAL and

the Department of Physics of Yerevan State University (YSU) 4th International Advanced School on Frontiers

in Optics & Photonics (FOP-2017). First, second and third FOP schools were organized by our chapter
