In your craft bag you will find a lucky dip of craftmaterials - coloured paper, string, tags, colouringpencils, chalk, paper plates and postcards. We hope you enjoy making you own artworks andcraft. This booklet has a few ideas you might like to try. Have fun!
Resources: paper plate, string, colouring pencils, glue and colouredpaper Instructions: Decorate your paper plate in a snakey pattern using coloured paper and colouring pencils 2. Once the glue is dry, cut or tear your paper plateinto a spiral 3.Tie string to your mobile, or use tape if you have some, and hang it up Why not try making another paper plate animal?

IIpswich Museums have lots of portraits. Portraitsare paintings of people. Sometimes people are painted with things that areimportant to them, for example a pet, books or inspecial clothes. Collect objects that are important to you. Don't forget your selfportrait.Write a label for each object. Your label might tell people what theobject is, where it's from and what it's used for.Display your objects on a table or shelf. Ask a grown-up before youmove things!
