Scene Summary

Juliet is guarded with Paris, who assumes she will follow her father’s wishes and be his wife. After he has gone, she begins talking of suicide again, and then uses imagery of death to express her strength of feeling. In a long monologue, the Friar proposesa plan to drug Juliet so that she appears dead, and get a message to Romeo to come back and collecther from the family tomb.
