What is a QR code?

a QR or Quick Response code, also known as a 2d barcode, gives users information on their smart phone or cell phone in an instant. in the simplest sense, think print-based link to web.

if you see these QR codes, you take a photo through an application on your smart phone or cell phone, the program analyzes or scans the barcode, and it asks if you’d like to be redirected to a web address/URl.

Can I use QR codes on my phone?

Because this technology is relatively new, there is no standard program or application for you to use. iPhones® and BlackBerrys® accommodate QR scanning applications quite easily and have very inexpensive (or even free) downloads available from their respective application stores. even some cell phones allow it.

QR Codes are Revolutionizing Real estate

Go to this website to see if your smart phone is compatible and to download code reader software to get started with QR Codes. www.mobile-barcodes.com/qr-code-software.

AffordAble PriceYou may be able to afford an expensive mortgage now, but consider your future expenses as well. Weddings, children, and career changes can all impact your finances. Overspending on a starter home puts your current lifestyle and your future goals in jeopardy. Set a reasonable budget, and keep every offer and counteroffer below your upper limit. AdAPtAble floor PlAnSpace should be a top priority in your search, since a lack of space is a key reason many homeowners sell their starter homes. Your starter home should be large enough to accommodate your future family. Look for rooms that can adapt to your family’s needs with a few simple renovations; for instance, a guest bedroom can transform into a home office or a nursery, while a downstairs den can be converted into a playroom or a bedroom for an elderly relative. An adaptable floor plan ensures that you will be comfortable in your starter home for as long as you need to live there.

GreAt locAtionWith their limited budgets, many first-time buyers have to choose between high-end upgrades and a first-class location. But those upgrades will start to look dated in the seven years you spend in your starter home. A home in a great location, meanwhile, always maintains its value. You might pay more for a home that is close to good schools, amenities, and transportation, but so will your future buyers. Well-MAintAinedAny starter home you buy should be in great condition. You shouldn’t have to spend thousands on improvements just to bring the house up to a livable standard. You also don’t want to spend thousands on repairs when it comes time to sell. Ask your home inspector to estimate the life expectancy of all the major components of the house. Ideally, you want the roof, furnace, and hot water heater to outlast your occupancy in the home by a few years; otherwise, you’ll have to pay the costly replacement bills when you sell.

A starter home will never be a dream home. But living in a starter home for a few years longer than you originally intended has its benefits. With every mortgage payment you make, you are building equity. When it finally comes time to sell your starter home, you can use that equity as a down payment on your dream house.

Here’s Whatto Look ForA starter home is a stopgap between a rental and a dream house. In today’s real estate market,

however, that stopgap is becoming a little less temporary. If you’re a first-time home buyer, you

should plan to live in your starter home for seven to ten years. Your address might not change

during that time, but your life will. To ensure that your living space suits both your current and

future needs, look for a starter home that meets these four standards.

Bondurant, with its small town appeal, is a great place to live, work, learn and play. Away from much of the clutter and noise of larger cities, Bondurant is a solid community built upon good old fashioned family values.

In Bondurant, you’ll find friendly neighbors, a great school system and plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. New residents of Bondurant have been relatively young, interested in growth and increasingly affluent. Yet, a vibrant and involved senior citizen population also exists.

The City of Bondurant was founded in 1884. The City itself was first established in 1897. When established, the City was named in honor of Alexander C. Bondurant, who was the area’s first settler and played a large part in the history of Bondurant. Alexander’s entrepreneurial spirit has lived on as our City has continued to grow into a community of 3,860 residents. We continue to expand our horizons for the future while taking pride in our heritage.

Bondurant is located in the heartland of Iowa, and can be directly accessed by Highway 65 (from the northeast or southwest) or NE 78th Ave (from the west).

Bondurant is an excellent place to live, work, and play away from the bustle of the big city. With our short drive time to more populated areas, and quiet small-town lifestyle, you can get “on the move” with Bondurant and experience the best of both worlds!

The City ofBondurant strives to:

• provide expedient, courteous service to new and prospective residents and businesses

• establish cost-effective administration practices

• implement policies and projects which improve the city’s image

• expand public safety services

• continually upgrade the city’s infrastructure

• reduce the city tax rate

• improve recreation facilities & activities

• support planned, organized growth

• expand the city’s boundaries where practical

• promote economically feasible commercial development

About Us

In 2001, Dan Stanbrough recreated a name that is synonymous with central Iowa real estate: Stanbrough Companies - with it's familiar "black and gold" signage - is back. "When my father started Stanbrough Realty on January 1st, 1960, Des Moines was such a different place. It's changed a lot, and some of that change can be credited to the forward thinking he brought to the business."

Stanbrough Today

Today, in the surging new wave of growth and expansion in the metro area of Des Moines, Dan Stanbrough guides this transformation as head of the family realty, home building, development and property management companies. Sons Jeff and Brad hold key ownership and leadership positions in the company. Jeff is now president and CEO/owner of Stanbrough Realty and Brad is now president and CEO/owner of Stanbrough Homebuilders and Stanbrough Commercial Builders. Dan Stanbrough has acquired and totally renovated Saylorville Marina into Iowa's largest marina, and is one of the founding shareholders in the new Iowa Speedway in Newton. "I enjoy the creativity of helping shape what happens for future generations. I have pride in Iowa and Des Moines. I've lived here all my life; my kids are fourth generation in this city. So you get to know a community pretty well, and want to positively impact what's ahead. My sons are very entrepreneurial and I'm proud they are. They will continue our family tradition."

The Family Tradition

Dan said father Gene Stanbrough introduced new methods of marketing real estate to the city, sponsoring the first television show in the early 1960s dedicated to showcasing available real estate offerings. Gene was the first realtor to open a "branch" office in the city, and we were the first to market available real estate through color tabloids. Stanbrough Realty, with its distinctive gold signs and black lettering was a family-operated enterprise through the 1960s and early 1970s playing a part in Des Moines' great comeback era of the late 1970s and 1980s. And through the family name has been in the real estate market ever since the start on New Years Day 1960, the name itself is undergoing a renaissance as a business icon. Stanbrough Realty changed its name to First Realty in 1983, with Dan as president, grew to 700 sales associates in 60 offices; the family company was later merged into a regional financial institution. "In 2001, my two sons were in their early 20s and interested and already both investing and building. We decided to bring the family name back into the market, something people hadn't seen in many years. I was encouraged to see how much familiarity our name still had in the community as a real estate company." Gold and black is back!

Our Philosophy

"We try to spend our time understand out customers desires. We ask, 'What do people really want?', 'Where do they want to live?' We know people want nature and amenities such as trees and water; they don't want just buildings, they want quality recreation and lifestyle aesthetics. We're very conscious of conservation. We work around nature. Our new neighborhoods reflect our commitment to developing in harmony with nature." As developers, realtors, homebuilders, investors, the Stanbrough Companies contribute at every turn in central Iowa, from high-end residential communities, neighborhood shopping centers, office complexes to downtown and urban
