acQuire LearningacQuire Learning – for geoscientists by geoscientists

You can choose to study single units, e.g. AQ100. The learning benefits become more comprehensive when they are grouped into courses and you complete all units of a course. For example, four units form the acQuire Practitioner (ACQ2000) course. Completing all units of the acQuire Practitioner course is a prerequisite to the acQuire Certified Professional - Workflow (ACQ3000) course.

Subsequently, every acQuire learning course builds on outcomes from other courses and form a pathway that is tailored to your career and aspirations. Each unit and every course has assessments that lead to either certifications or world-wide recognised accreditations.

Accreditation Benefits

Course accreditations are offered when you complete a set of units with clearly defined learning outcomes. By achieving competency in each of the course units, course accreditation is awarded to you in recognition of the level of proficiency. Within a course, units may be taken in any order as long as proficiency is achieved within 2 years. Competency in a unit is assessed by our course facilitators either by an online quiz or assignment(s).

On achieving accreditation, you

• can add the appropriate post-nominal letters of the course to your name and CV*.

• will receive the acQuire course accreditation card, valid for 2 years.

• will receive a course completion certificate.

*post-nominal letters indicate that you hold a current certificate or accreditation as a practicing professional who has successfully completed an acQuire course. acQuire Certified Professional (ACP) status is extended to the individual course participant; not a corporation, firm or a third party. The letters after your name identify you as a professional with high level of product knowledge and proficiency in your industry.

acQuire Foundation (ACQ1000)Work confidently and efficiently with your drilling and point sampling data using

acQuire 4 and acQuire Neo.

This introductory course covers foundation concepts of acQuire 4 and acQuire Neo. The learning mode is offered as a mix of face-to-face, eLearning and online assessment, to give you a hands-on experience of the fundamental principles.

Become familiar with databases, terminology and how acQuire stores data.

Gain insight into the Tools needed for an acQuire Database Manager including acQuire 4 Licensing. Create an acQuire workspace.

acQuire Neo Concepts (NEO100) 1 Day

Use acQuire Neo to perform data interrogation. Learn how to create customised views/log views.

acQuire Practitioner (ACQ2000)Achieve the knowledge required to create and use workspace objects in an

implemented environment.

For new and current acQuire database managers and those that require acQuire 4 knowledge and skills that can be used immediately in their acQuire 4 work environment. Offered in a training room environment.

Create and use acQuire objects designed for entering or importing data into your acQuire database.

Reporting(ACQ202)1 Day

Introduction to the Structured Query Language(ACQ203)2 Days

Learn how to use SQL, a database programming language resembling English words, to enhance your acQuire objects or query data in the acQuire database.

Importing Analytical Results(ACQ205)2 Days

Create and use an acQuire 4 import object to import analytical results received from a laboratory.

Quality Control of Analytical Results(ACQ206)2 Days

Create and use an acQuire 4 QAQC object to quality control analytical results received from a laboratory.

acQuire Certified Professional – Workflow (ACQ3000)Focus on a comprehensive work approach with acQuire 4 in an implemented

environment by understanding workflow and identifying workspace objects needed.

Learn about workflows and how to configure an acQuire workspace to supplement workflow processes at your site.

Master acQuire 4 managed grids. Create QAQC and report objects to an advanced level. Automate aspects of your workflow utilising command line acQuire 4. Work with Derived Fields.
