Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen.
Dear Parents,
Over the past five years we have endured substantial funding
cuts from the government, as a result of these cuts the
Governing Body of the school, after serious consideration, has
had to make significant changes to the staffing structure of the
school and this has meant that non class based temporary as
well as permanent posts were put at risk of
redundancy.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform
you that Mrs Isaac’s contract within the office
will not be renewed and she will be leaving the
school on 23rd November.
Mrs Wozniak who has been teaching at The Rosary since 2009
has chosen to seek alternative employment
at another school and will be leaving us on
30th November.
Their contribution to the life of the school and
the children that they have both worked with
over the years will be sorely missed and I am
personally saddened to lose such valuable members of staff.
I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication

Thirty Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A) Gospel Reflection from Cafod
Matthew 25:14-30
Generous God, we give you thanks for
the gifts and talents that you have
given us. Help us to make the best
use of them that we can and to serve
you in all that we do. Amen.
Jesus tells another parable. This time a man is about to go abroad and so he calls his
servants to him and gives them each something to look after.
He gives the first servant five talents (“talents” was a word for money in Jesus’ time).
He gives the second servant two talents. And the final servant one talent.
The first one used the five talents he had been given and made five more. So he gave
the master back ten talents all together. The second one used the two talents he had
been given and made two more, giving the master back four talents all together. The
final servant hid his talent in the ground. When his master came back he dug it up
and returned it to him. The master was angry. What do you think Jesus is trying to
tell us in this parable?
Jesus is telling us that it is important to use the gifts that God has given us. We are
all good at different things. We all have different skills and talents. What is your
talent?
Some of us are good at singing, some of us are good at sport. Some of us are good at
dancing, some of us are good at drawing. Some of us are good at baking. Some of us
are good at building Lego. Some of us are good at speaking out when we see that
something is wrong or unfair. Some of us are good at helping others.
Whatever your talent is, Jesus is saying that it is important not to hide our talents
from others – to just keep them to ourselves and never let them grow. Instead, it is
by going out into the world, by sharing our talents and using our skills to help others
that we serve God. How will you use your talents to serve God in the coming week?
Generous God, you gave us a voice. Help us shout loud for what is right and
fair. You gave us ears. Help us listen to those in need. You gave us talents.
Help us share and multiply them for the good of all your people. Amen.

Past Rosary Pupils who have Aspired to Achieve
As part of our mission to ‘Aspire’ our children to ‘Believe’ in themselves in
order to ‘Achieve’ we are calling all past pupils to get in touch with the
school to share their working life achievements. What we would like to do
is develop a display to celebrate our past pupils achievements with our
current children in order to aspire them to reach for their dreams.
We would be very grateful of photos of them in their adult jobs so that
the children can see the importance of working hard in school to achieve
success in their adult lives.

Nursery Parent’s Meeting
Mrs Deane would like to thank all
the parents who attended the
Nursery meeting yesterday. We
were very pleased to see that
nearly all the parents were able
to attend. As well as
understanding how children learn
through play many of the
parents stayed on to play with
their children in Nursery. Thank you again for your support.
Mobile Safety
Mobile phones are a useful way of staying in touch with your children if they travel independently to school. However, like all technology it should be treated with respect.
Some helpful things to talk to your children about mobiles are:
1) Remember if you are being bullied it isn’t your fault and there is
nothing so awful that you can’t speak to someone about it. Talk to a
trusted adult at home or at school.
2) Don’t reply to any nasty messages you receive.
3) Don’t reply to a text from someone you don’t know.
4) Keep the messages you have been sent so you can show them to a
trusted adult and make a note of the time and date of the messages or
calls you receive.
5) Don’t answer calls from withheld numbers or numbers you don’t
recognise, let it go to voicemail.
6) Block numbers from people who are sending you nasty messages.
7) If you are bullied repeatedly you can change your number.
8) Don’t give your mobile number to someone you don’t know.
9) Don’t send pictures to someone you don’t know.
10) If the problem is serious you can report it to the police, cyber
mentors, or childline.

What children do online and through social networking
W hen online, children and young people
can learn new things, get help with
homework, express themselves
creatively and connect with friends and
family.
There are also risks, but by
understanding and talking about the
dangers you can help keep your child
safe online.
Talking to your child about staying safe online
Explore sites and apps together
Talk about what might be OK for children of different ages.
Ask your child what sites or apps they like. Write a list, and look at them together.
Be positive about what you see, but also be open about concerns you have: "I think this site's really good" or "I'm a little worried about things I've seen here".
Talk to your child about what you think is appropriate – but also involve them in the conversation. Ask what they think is OK for children of different ages – they'll feel involved in the decision-making.
Be aware that your child might talk about friends who use apps or
visit sites that you've decided aren't suitable. Be ready to discuss your reasons, but recognise that they may not agree with you. Listen carefully for the reasons why.
Go through a final list of sites you both agree are OK, and work out when you'll next discuss it.
Mufti-Day in Aid of Hillingdon Hospital
As part of our Advent Projects this year we will be having a Mufti-Day
on Friday 24th November. Our children are invited to wear their home
clothes in exchange for a £1. The class teachers will be collecting the
money from Monday 20th November. Thank you for your support.

Recommended Read
This week’s recommended read is from Jose. It is The
Luck Uglies by Paul Durham. It is the first in a trilogy of
books set in the fictional Village Drowning and is funny,
adventurous, mysterious and magical.
Christmas Lunch
The children will be having their Christmas lunch on Wednesday 13th December. If your child is currently receiving school meals they will automatically get a Christmas lunch. However, if your child normally has sandwiches
(packed lunch) and they would like to have a Christmas Lunch that day you will need to contact Mrs Geraghty and let her know by 9am on Friday 1st December as the kitchen has to order the food 2 weeks in
advance. We regret that we cannot add any more children after this date.
Heston East Ward – Street Briefing
Heston East Police team will be holding a street briefing in Eton Avenue
on Sat. 18 Nov at 10am.
The team will be opposite Heston Social Club in Eton Avenue. Please
come and talk to the team about your concerns.
