BERLIN, MD.
S.D.M.S.
Springing into April is 12U Calvin Lorance. The righty has been with
the Aces organization since the doors opened in 2014 and is devel-
oping quite nicely. So far this spring, Lorance has been a force on
the mound and at the plate. On the season, he is hitting .400 for
the 12U club while belting four big fly’s just in last weeks tourna-
ment alone. From the mound, Lorance is sporting a 1.714 ERA with
25 punchouts.
Calvin, the Berlin, Md. product, is the son of Keith Lorance and
Katie McAleer. Starting this month, every featured player will now
be sponsored as MOE’S SOUTHWEST GRILL SPOTLIGHT PLAYER OF
THE MONTH. Also, the recipient will receive $20 in Moe Bucks.
Huge kudos to Calvin for his awesome work so far this spring.
Now, go get yourself a burrito!

2017 ACES SPRING CHALLENGE
IS IN THE BOOKS! On the weekend of April 8-9th, the Delmarva Aces complet-
ed another first as they hosted their own tournament at
Georgetown Little League. Behind the 2017 ACES SPRING
CHALLENGE were the 12U East parents and players as it was
a fundraiser for their Cooperstown quest!
As all tournament directors understand, every event has the
chance of canceling due to weather. Luck was on the Aces
side as it was a bit windy on Saturday, but blue skies on Sun-
day rolled right into Delmarva! With the event holding 10U,
11U and 12U brackets, three separate organizations took
home the crown. All in all, an outstanding experience for
the organization and the 12U East’s road to Cooperstown.
Champions are listed below!
10U —Mid-Atlantic Shockers (Hendricks) 11U— Fruitland Force
12U— Delmarva Aces (East)
THIRD ANNUAL SHOREBIRDS NIGHT ENDS IN A WIN!
Last Saturday, was an awesome night all around! A night full of fun for Aces players,
families, and friends ended with a Delmarva Shorebirds 6-0 win over the Hager-
stown Suns. Following the win was an awesome firework display over right field to
cap off a perfect evening!
Just about 100 Aces players arrived early in their uniform to march on the field and
be recognized over the loud speaker. Also, a select few of Aces got to sprint out on
the field with the pro’s for leading the organization this winter in their Academy
evaluations. Rounding out the pre-game ceremonies and throwing the first pitch
were 10U Ceth Bireley and 13U Shawn Rosemond. We already can’t wait for next
year! #GoAces

NIBBLETT INKS WITH WESLEY,
EVERY SENIOR TO PLAY COLLEGE BALL
This past Wednesday was a great day for the Delmarva Aces. Sea-
ford High School and Mizuno Aces Upperclass, Evan Nibblett signed
his commitment to play for Wesley College this coming fall. Along
with Evan being the 27th college commitment for the Aces, he also
marked the 19th and final high school senior in the program to sign
to college.
The Aces couldn’t be more proud of these players who put in the
hard work and dedication. From Florida to Massachusetts, up and
down the east coast, 19 Aces players will be suiting up for their
respective colleges this time next spring. A rewarding experience
for both the players and the Aces program. These young men not
only prepared themselves on and off the field but also showed
their trust in the Aces and the college development system.
The Delmarva Aces staff is very privileged to have a nationwide
college network system to use to their advantage. Several Aces
coaches played all around the country and have had numerous
teammates that now coach for college programs. The recruitment
process for many players can be very difficult. Networking is just as
important as anything so why not use it to help these young men
carry on their talents. Pictured below is 18U Evan Nibblett firing a
fastball in a tournament last spring for the Aces, just as he will do
next spring for the Wesley Wolverines.
The DELMARVA COLLEGE PROSPECT BASEBALL SHOWCASE

tration is open and must be completed for any player to
