Columbia, SC 29201 PLACE STAMP HERE Expectations In order for students to have an enjoyable experience in the camp, students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. This includes following the school guidelines concerning behavior as outlined in the Rich- land One Discipline Code of Conduct. Students committing Level II and III offenses will be immediately released from the IMPACT Summer Camp. Students committing Level I offenses will be handled on an individual basis. More about the Summer Camp The IMPACT Summer Camp, designed to develop students academically and socially will consist of two 3-week camps in June and July. During the summer camps, students will work on numerous fun STEM projects such as: lear ning to build simple machines, building robots, creating 3-D objects and program- ming their own video games. Through our Overcom- ing Obstacles curriculum, students will also learn life- skills designed to help them become socially, success- ful citizens. Students will be required to attend at least one camp, but are welcome to attend both camps Transportation and the cost to participate in the sum- mer IMPACT camp is FREE. Lunch will be provid- ed daily.

What We Do Through participation in the IMPACT Camp, students

may be able to:

complete seat time at no cost to the student,

learn life-skills through Overcoming Obstacles to

Success, an evidenced-based curriculum,

receive hands-on STEM lessons that will expose

them to real world problem–solving activities .

Our story

The IMPACT Camp is an afterschool program imple-

mented through an EEDA funded grant received by the

Olympia Learning Center entitled “Preparing College

and Career Ready Graduates”. There is no fee for

participating in the camp.
