Accessing the e-learning from an iPad or iPhone 1. You will first need to make sure your iPad has Microsoft powerpoint installed. If you do not already have the powerpoint app installed on your iPad/ iPhone, please go to the app store and download this. (The download should be free). Once downloaded open up the app, it may ask you to create an account or sign in, you can select “not now” to bypass this, and follow the instructions on screen. 2. On your web browser go to the e-learning on our website: https://www.wsh.nhs.uk/Information-for-care- homes/Care-Homes.aspx 3. Click on the module you would like to complete 4. This window will then appear. Click on “Download” 5. Locate the downloaded e-learning on your iPad / iPhone, this is likely to be under “Files”. Once you have located the e-learning presentation click on it to open it. The e-learning will then open up in powerpoint.

Accessing the e-learning from an iPad or iPhone

1. You will first need to make sure your iPad has Microsoft powerpoint installed. 3. Click on the module you would like to complete 4. This window will then appear. Click on “Download”

5. Locate the downloaded e-learning on your iPad / iPhone, this is likely to be under “Files”. Once you have located the e-learning presentation click on it to open it. The e-learning will then open up in powerpoint.

6. Once the e-learning presentation has opened in powerpoint, go to “slide show” at the top of the screen

and click on “from start”. Once you have done this your screen will then look like the image on the right and you can commence the module.

If you are using an iPhone you will need to click on the play arrow as pictured below.

Quizzes The MUST, Dysphagia and IDDSI, and mealtime dilemmas and feeding considerations modules have two quizzes each in them. This means after completing the first quiz in each module you will need to return to the e-learning presentation to continue to with the module and next section of quiz questions. Once you have submitted your quiz question answers, you can return to the e-learning presentation by clicking on the “powerpoint” text at the very top left hand corner of the screen.

Accessing the e-learning from a kindle / tablet or smart phone

1. You will first need to make sure your kindle / tablet or smartphone has Microsoft powerpoint installed.

If you do not already have the powerpoint app installed on your Kindle / tablet or smartphone, please go to the google play store and download this. (The download should be free). Once downloaded open up the powerpoint app. You may have the following pop up: Click “Allow”

Powerpoint may then ask you to create an account, you can just click “sign in later” to avoid this step.

2. On your web browser go to the e-learning on our website: https://www.wsh.nhs.uk/Information-for-care-

homes/Care-Homes.aspx

3. Click on the module you would like to complete. The module will then start to download. Once

downloaded, click “open” and open with powerpoint.

4. Once the e-learning has opened in powerpoint, click the arrow on the top right corner and select “slide show”. The click on the image of the screen with a play button on the top left-hand side. The e-learning will then enter presentation mode, and you can complete the e-learning module.
