Schoology OverviewStarting in the 2015 – 2016 school year, classrooms in grades 6 to 12 will use Schoology as the learning management system (LMS) for their classrooms.

Schoology is an enterprise level system that provides teacher with the tools and connections to engage students more efficiently and improve educational effectiveness.

Signing into SchoologyBLACKHAWK  SCHOOL  DISTRICT

BrowsersIt is highly recommended that one of the web browser below are used to work with Schoology:◦ Google Chrome◦ Safari◦ Firefox

Some of the features of Schoology (and other websites) do not work properly with Internet Explorer.

Teachers and StudentsTeachers and students will be able to sign in to Schoology using their district assigned Office 365 username and password using “Single Sign On”.

Navigate to http://schoology.bsd.k12.pa.us

Sign in with your Office 365 username and password.

Signed InOnce you are signed in, your Schoology page will look similar to the screen shot below.

Parent AccessParents will receive a unique access code for each of their children.

To access your child's courses:◦ Navigate to http://www.schoology.com◦ For first time users, click on the “Sign Up” button.◦ If you already have an account, click “Login”

Parent Access (New Users)Click on the “Parent” option.

Enter the access code for your child.

Enter your information to create your account.

Browsing ClassesOnce logged in, you may browse the classes that your child is enrolled in.

Select the child that you would like to view. Select the child's class you would like to view.

Adding additional childrenIf you already have a Schoology account, you can add another child by clicking on the “Add Child” option.  You will be asked to enter the child's code.
