Teaching the NEW Mathematics TEKSwith Accountability in Mind
Access Curriculum Together (ACT) coaches teachers on how to address accessible curriculum for increasing test scores and improving accountability ratings. Making the curriculum accessible to students and developing skills through concrete, semi concrete, and abstract processes, students experience mastery of grade level TEKS, increasing confidence as concepts are built. Rigor becomes less intimidating as students accept challenging problem solving situations through collaboration and discussion, building intrinsic knowledge. Students know that their unique entry points will be addressed through manipulatives, visual supports, vocabulary, and supplemental aids.
Register your teachers for MATH ACT for bona fide results in the classroom. Training and consultation are offered in the areas of student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and post-secondary readiness. Aligned with Texas Education Agency (TEA) Accountability System.

Math ACT is an innovative, research-based series of collaborative trainings designed to instruct teachers on the “how” of teaching ALL students within the general education setting. This series can be customized to your unique needs. Options include the following:
ACCESS CURRICULUM TOGETHER, LLCwww.accesscurriculumtogether.com
Accessing the Revised Math TEKS, Day 1: Teachers will map all grade level revised math TEKS to close performance gaps, while embedding IEP goals and objectives. Alignment and verb development over grade levels will be analyzed, highlighting the impact of grade level instruction on subsequent TEKS. By targeting how each individual TEKS is tested, teachers will plan for alignment of instruction for the depth, rigor and complexity required for success on assessments.
Better Outcomes through Inclusive EnvironmentsSTAAR Reporting Category 1, Day 2: STAAR Reporting Category 2, Day 3: STAAR Reporting Category 3, Day 4: STAAR Reporting Category 4, Day 5: By incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines, teachers will learn to build accessible lessons offering word walls, visual supports, task analysis of big ideas and relationships to maximize transfer and generalization of mathematics skills.
This is a hands-on training targeting specific TEKS within each STAAR reporting category aligning entry points with grade level TEKS. Teachers will learn how to use manipulatives to demonstrate concretely. The “how” of specially designed instruction paralleled with differentiated instruction will show teachers the benefit of working in collaborative teams to reduce planning time and increase student engagement for all students.
As collaborative problem solvers, teachers will
build understanding by aligning supplemental aids, visual supports and manipulatives over grade levels.
General educators paired with special educators learning to co-produce accessible materials to support struggling learners attend Math ACT together. These teams must actively participate in order for true access to grade level curriculum for ALL to occur.
Interventions & STAAR Review,Day 6: Teachers focus on grade level standards As collaborative problem solvers, teachers will develop materials such as supplemental aids, visual supports, and manipulatives for centers to accelerate the learning of the Revised Math TEKS from Benchmark data. Teachers will leave with a self-diagnostic tool for finding gaps in learning and for immediate use in the mathematics classroom. Data driven interventions will be supported by real student data from district benchmarks with an emphasis on Readiness Standards. Strategies and best practices for student transitions within a synergistic and engaging learning environments will be modeled.

CPE #902294 ACT’s mission is to increase access to curriculum within a community of learners by uniting educators and resources, to increase accountability and to maximize students’ learning and quality of life. Our training recognizes the diversity of students and addresses how to meet their individual needs. Our strategies are founded on the basic principle that when teachers work collaboratively, they can make curriculum accessible to all and more effectively educate students.
