Modern infrastructure Our University provides excellent learning facilities and infra-structure of the highest standard for both the students and the teaching staff, under the umbrella of a modern architectural complex. Best clinical environment in RomaniaOur University takes advantage of the close collaboration with the largest general hospital in Romania – The County Clinical Emergency Hospital Tirgu Mures, a hospital with 1.250 beds lo-cated at 100 m from the main university building and including almost all the medical specialties. Here the students have the opportunity to establish a close con-tact with patients presenting various clinical pictures and to as-sist live to different medical procedures, thus being directly in-volved in the medical act. The close proximity of the hospital to the University offers you a significant advantage, as you will be able to get to lectures or internships in less than 10 minutes walk.

The most advanced Center of Medical Simulation in Romania The Simulation and Medical Skills Center of our University is the best equipped and most advanced center of medical simulation in Romania. Being structured in three departments: Medical Skills, Medical Simulation and Stan-dardized Patient, the center represents an extremely useful tool for students who wish to learn practical skills and exercise medical maneuvers.

E-UMF platformThe E-UMFplatform is a complex digital web-based tool that provides numerous fa-cilities for students, including an online admission application system, online library, online access to the University Management System, online access to scientific jour-nals and articles and online handling of administrative forms. E-UMF is completed with a complex E-learning platform, which gives students a very user-friendly learning system with access to books, printable lecture notes and visual presentations.

The comfort of students, a priority The University has four student dormitories with an accom-modation capacity of 1176 places. Each room is equipped with high speed internet and cable TV. The kitchens are equipped with microwave ovens, cookers, and a good ventilation sys-tem. The dormitories also have a laundry room on each floor equipped with free washing machines.

Restaurant and canteenIn the university campus the main meals of the day can be

served at the micro-canteen, which has a capacity of 80 seats and is located in the im-mediate vicinity of the main building. The restaurant of the university is situated two minutes away from the student campus and has a capacity of more than 200 seats.

Best Sports facilities in RomaniaThe University campus has a sports base like no other. This consists of two sport halls that house three indoor tennis courts, two volleyball courts and a basketball court, equipped with spectator stands, thus giving you the choice either to play a set or just relax by being a spectator. In a brand new building we have a fitness and weight-lift-ing center including a 260 m2 swimming pool, pool with open access, prioritizing the classes in the curriculum but also allowing forl eisure exercise. The outdoor sports base has four tennis courts and two mini-football fields equipped with high quality lighting systems that let you cool off in a football match after a long day at school. All this facil-ities are accessible for free during the physical education classes that are provided by our University’s staff.

Top research environmentThe Center for Advanced Medical and Pharmaceutical Research, pro-jected on a total surface of 4.092 square meters on 5 levels, from a budget of 10.47 million EUR, rep-resents an example of a high quality research infrastructure on interna-tional level, serving as a reference center for both basic and clinical medical research in this country (includes a DNA and plasma bank, immunology, chromatography and mass spectrometry, laser flow cy-tometry, confocal microscopy, mo-lecular biology, genetics, advanced cardiac imaging, metabolomics and others).

MobilityOur University has signed the Erasmus Charter for High-er Education 2014-2020 and offers a substantial number of mobility scholarships for students every year, accord-ing to bilateral partnerships established with universities from all Europe (Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium, etc). Social events

Every year, the Student`s League organizes in Tirgu Mures the “Mari-siensis” International Congress for Students, Young Physicians and Phar-macists, where students from all Eu-rope are invited to present their sci-entific results during a 5 day scientific marathon. This congress has already become a tradition of our students’ lives.

The life of a student in Tirgu Mures is filled with of social events so that you never get bored. The “Medifun” Student Festival rep-resents a well-known occasion for joy and celebration in the student community. Satellite to different scientific meetings, we organize many cultural events (concerts, etc) in which students are invited to participate togeth-er with the academic staff.

Sport competitionsSport competitions are organized every year in the University’s sports base, representing a good occa-sion to demonstrate the performance of medical students in different fields (tennis, football, hand-ball, etc).

City attractionTirgu Mures is an old traditional academic city, having a mixed Romanian and Hungarian culture. Its’ main attractions are: The Corneşti Plateau, offering a great pan-orama of the city and including a famous Zoologi-cal garden.
