• Biotechnology Minor – Terminate The Biotechnology minor has been rarely used throughout the past five years with ten graduates and only eleven students currently enrolled in the minor.

• Geographic Information Science Minor – Terminate Insufficient student interest to justify program continuation.

As university-based dental hygiene programs typically offer the BS degree, while two-year colleges commonly award the AS degree – and – workforce changes along with career options combine to incline students toward the baccalaureate rather than the associate, the time has come for the University of South Dakota to terminate the offering of an associate-level degree.
