    Start Commands on theCommand Line Commands can be initiated by typing

    them on the command line.

    Such commands are preferred since

    the user is not forced to maketransitions between keyboard and themouse.

    Getting started

    The first step in AutoCAD is to set theunits. For this purpose, Type > UN

    In the new dialog box change units to

    Architecturaland Precisionto 0-0. In the angle group box change type to

    decimal and precision to 0.00

    Check the clockwise check box totake clockwise angles as positive.

    Drawing a line (using commandline)1. Type line Press2. Click anywhere in the drawing area to

    locate a point.

    3. At the Specify Next Point or [Undo]prompt, click anywhere else in thedrawing area to specify the endpoint

    of the line segment.4. Then type c (Close) and press

    3. Drawing a circle

    1. type c and press2. click anywhere in the drawing area to locate

    a center point.

    3. At the Specify Radius of Circle prompt, type

    5 and press

    4. Press to repeat the CIRCLE command.

    5. Type 2P and press ENTER to create a circle

    using two points .6. Click anywhere in the drawing to locate

    each point.
