OverviewThisProjectconsistsofatotalof3,000,000sq.ft.,includingapproximately1,750,000sq.ft.ofresidentialarea,distributedamongst 35 towers.The project includes seven typesof residential units,with each towerhaving adifferentconfiguration.The towershaveG+10,G+12, andG+14floors, and stand over a cast-in-situ concrete podium and parking garage.
Project DetailsABKJ provided consultancy for our client, Shapoorji Pallonji, in providing engineering and developing detailed information for PrecastConcretefabricationanderectionpurposes.ThescopeofworkincludesBuildingInformationModeling(BIM)usingRevitsoftware,andprovidingerectiondrawingsandPrecastConcretefabricationshopdrawingsbasedontheRevitmodel.
Thisincludesallpanelsforalltowerwalls,floorslabs,stairs,liftcores, and elevator machine room. ABKJ engineered, detailed, completelymodeled reinforcing and embeddedMEP itemstomatch theArchitectural,Mechanical,Electrical,&Plumbingdrawing35towers.

Toavoidtorsion,wehaveimplementedmomentframesand successfully nullified the torsion.
ABKJ presented a competitive and cost saving BoQ on this project. Prior to the start of this project design, ABKJ has providedvariousstructuraloptionsbasedontheclient’sneeds.

Overview D+U Das Haus is a 1,540 square foot residence consisting of two bedrooms and two baths organized around a center Great Room. The plan strives to maximize ADA Principles and healthcare planning goals to achieve a flexible wellness environment for its owners facing the challenges of aging and illness. The Great Room takes advantage of south and west exposures allowing sunlight to penetrate its interiors and adjacent rooms through ground level and clerestory windows that wraps is perimeter facades. Privacy is achieved through the homes orientation, setback of volumes, and directions of forms allowing the ownership and functionality to be in solitude. The overall organizational driver was to provide an exterior space to the south west accessed by a bifolding La Cantina door that fosters a direct relationship with kitchen an outdoor room which receives afternoon and evening soon for casual leisure. The interiors are presented with a very light colored palette that expresses white walls and ceilings accented by vertical grain fir and cedar accents, and anchored by a 84” diameter central fan composed of bamboo.
