The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is

offers accredited business management qualifications atthree levels Introduction ; Intermediary and Advanced

ABE qualifications: Are taught to 50,000 students by 516 colleges in over

80 countries worldwide

Are accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. Graduates are thenable to enter all local universities and receive exemptions

Are certified by the Office of Qualifications (Ofqual) in the UK

Provide fast-track progression routes to degree programmesworldwide including the Heriot-Watt University Management DegreeProgramme available at B&B.

The nine-month-long introductory diploma in Business Managementoffers direct entry into the 1st year of the HWU degree programme

The eighteen-month-long intermediate diploma in BusinessManagement offers entry into the 2nd year of the HWU degreeprogramme

Two diploma levels are offered Introductory (Level IV)

Entry requirement: 2 CXCs (any area);

Covers four subjects and runs from September to May

As at February 1 2012, fee payable to B&B is $25,000 per subject

Allows entry to first year of HWU degree programme at B&B

Intermediate (Level V) Entry requirement: 2 ALevel/CAPE (with CXC Maths and English)

Covers eight subjects and runs for two semesters: Jan-June and July-Dec As at February 1 2012, fee payable to B&B is $30,000 per subject

Provides exemptions from 5 of the 12 modules in the HWU degree

In each level, three streams are available: Business Management

Financial Management

Management Information Systems

Students can choose how many subjects that they register todo at each semester. The total time and money spent thendepends on the number of courses you register for

material as in the CXC

syllabus. The classes canthen be used as a

refresher course by

persons who want to re-sit

their CXCs to get a higher

grade in these subjects

ABE entry points and
