ABATE™ S-200 Scavenger Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger

Introduction

ABATE™ S-200 scavenger is part of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) portfolio of gas treating solutions. ABATE™ S-100 scavenger is a proprietary formulation designed to react irreversibly with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and mercaptans from gas systems. ABATE™ S-200 scavenger can control H2S levels in order to reduce safety and corrosion problems in the Oil & Gas processes. During loading and downloading, the H2S dissolved in the Oil can be released into the existing free spaces of the Oil storage tanks. ABATE™ S-200 scavenger minimizes gas liberation reducing the potential threats to field workers. The material can be applied to batch treatment processes, added to oil, diesel, or other hydrocarbon storage tanks for H2S removal prior to loading for shipping or by processes of continuous injection in processing lines and/or pipelines during which the product will remove the H2S content to reach a certain value of specification required.
