More than 50 Researchers hosted by AAU in the ACIT

Conference

Al Ain University concluded the 20th International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT) 2019, which was co-organized in cooperation with the IEEE and Colleges of Computing and Information Society (CCIS), with the participation of more than 50 scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of information technology.

The conference was attended by Prof. Abdulsalam Ghaith, Prof. Emad Abu Elrob, and Prof. Jihad Al Saadi, as representatives of the Academic Accreditation Commission, Prof. Mohammad Amin- Secretary General

of CCIS, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae- AAU President, Dr. Qutaibah Al Thebyan- Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Faten Kharbat- Deputy Dean of the College of Engineering, Colleges Deans from AAU and different Arab universities, and academic staff from the College of Engineering.

ACIT 2019, addressed wide range of research papers, workshops and presentations about Information Technology, however, the conference focused on the information technology in Education, Law, Forensics, and legal, advances in Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms, machine Learning and e-learning, advances in software engineering, database systems, data Science, distributed Systems, Internet of Things (IoT)

A Student from the College of Communication wins the

Best Script Award of Arab Film Studio

Amer Al Mehri, a third year student in the public relations department in the College of Communication and Media at Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi campus, has won the Best Script Award 2019 for his scenario “Run, Salem, Run” in the Arab Film Studio competition organized by

Image Nation company in collaboration with twofour54 and MBC.The idea of «Run, Salem, Run» embodies a true story of the writer, it talks about student Salem, as his shoes are stolen at school, and then a series of exciting adventures.

160 projects to promote Tolerance at Al Ain University

The College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences represented by the Applied Psychology Department at Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi campus, organized the Tolerance Exhibition that shared works of over 160 projects of introductions to psychology and ethical Awareness students dedicated to practice tolerance in the community, under the supervision of Dr. Ganka Ivanova, faculty member.

“Drugs” a trial case handled by law students in the Moot Court

The College of Law students at Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi Campuses, performed the Moot Court with highly efficient, which is considered a simulation of a real trial organized by the college every semester.The Moot Court was attended by Dr. Amer Qasem, AAU Vice President, Dr. Ramzi Madi, Deputy Dean of the College of Law, Deputy Deans, academic and administrative staffs and AAU students. In addition to, representatives from the training institutions and guests from outside the university.

The court, was supervised by Dr. Hakem Al Sarhan, Criminal law Assistant Professor, and it was courting criminals accused of drug trafficking through the body of a young child, but they were arrested by the police.focused on the trial of perpetrators accused of inventing various methods of drug smuggling, as they tried to smuggle narcotic pills through the body of a young child.

AAU celebrates the Arabic Language Day

Al Ain University celebrated the World Arabic Language Day by organizing competitions and distributing gifts to the academic and administrative staffs and students.

Prof. Ghaleb Al Refae, AAU President, praised the cultural, educational, and media organizations to commemorate the World Arabic Language Day by organizing different events to encourage the younger generation to learn and use Arabic.
