Hello AYC Families,I would like to wish all of our AYC families and friends a wonderful

holiday season and a very Happy New Year! The holiday season is approaching, and with the brisk winds and winter chill

upon us, we prepare to close out our fantastic 2018 year with just a few more festive activities. I hope you will continue to enjoy the Club throughout December and add one of our events to your holiday to do list.

Please join us for our 17th Annual AYC Christmas Party on Friday, December 7th. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the season with friends and family. There will be live entertainment and sing along Christmas Carols for the whole family. Please share the joy and bring an unwrapped gift for a child aged 1-16 yrs. to benefit local needy children. Thank you very much to sponsors Bill and Sara Burns, who are once again organizing this festive and charitable event.

New Year's Eve will be rocking at AYC this year as we celebrate the dawn of 2019 with our friends from the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor. A perennial favorite, The BLT Band, will provide great entertainment throughout the night. Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a sit down dinner. Please contact the Club for reservation availability.

Although most of us have stored our sailing gear away for the next few months, many of our young sailors gathered together in celebration of their 2018 accomplishments. AYC was very well represented at the MAYRA Awards banquet on November 30th at the Corinthian Yacht

Club of Philadelphia. MAYRA also welcomed their newest Flag Officer, as our very own Past Commodore Frank Cirii is now the MAYRA Rear Commodore! The following sailors received awards for their individual and team placements:

Please join me in congratulating these sailors, as well as all of our youth sailing participants, instructors and parents for a fantastic 2018 Junior Sailing program. Keep your eye out this spring for information on how to register your children or grandchildren to join the best junior sailing program in South Jersey!

You should have recently received our 2018 AYC House Survey. This is a very helpful tool to provide the Flag Officers, Board of Trustees and staff with feedback on your experiences at the Club, and to ensure that we are working toward meeting and exceeding your expectations. Please take a few moments to complete the survey and have your thoughts and feelings heard by those who can make a difference.

During the months of January and February, the Club will be on an operational hiatus, though the Board of Trustees, Flag Officers and our management staff will continue to work hard behind the scenes to create a warm and welcoming environment for all of our members. Look for our next Topsider to be distributed in March.

My family and I are grateful and humbled by all of the kindness and support we have received from our AYC family throughout 2018 and look forward to sharing an incredible 2019 together. May you and your family enjoy a very Merry Holiday season and a New Year filled with good health, love and laughter.
