Together, Janelle and her husband of 18 years, Keith, manage a busy home of 6 children, three boys and three girls, ages 6-14. As Mrs. North Dakota International 2014, she was able to travel throughout the state speaking on her passion of finding a forever home for every child. This issue and Catholic Charities North Dakota are both close to Janelle’s heart, as three of her children joined the family through the AASK foster care adoption program of Catholic Charities. She works a few hours a week at her dream job in the children’s ministry area of Triumph Lutheran Church and spends 15 or more hours a week volunteering in various positions around the community. Janelle has a zest for life and a drive to make a difference. A 1998 graduate of NDSU’s Apparel and Textile program, (Go Bison!), Janelle uses her talents to create and alter wedding and bridesmaid gowns.
