To support the continuous improvement of business schools worldwideand enhance understanding of the management education industry,AACSB International produces this reference guide each year for itsinternal and external stakeholders.

The information enclosed describes a wide range of areas, includingprogram trends, faculty and student demographics, business schoolfinances, and characteristics of deans. The data and information are

selected based on availability, currency, and interest. To enhance theuse of this guide as a reference tool, information on other AACSBpublications, services, and resources also is included.

If the specific information you are looking for is not found in this guide, you may find it in one of AACSBs many other publicationsincludingBizEd, eNEWSLINE, surveys, and thought leadership reportsorthrough DataDirect, your online connection to the worlds largestdatabase of business school data.

AACSB International continues to expand its coverage of managementeducation worldwide. However, current availability of certain businessschool information outside North America and Western Europe isfragmented. AACSB is working to offer more robust reporting of theinternational business education landscape in the future.

The aggregate, industry-level data available in this handbook maybe inappropriate for benchmarking and decision-making purposes. For example, industry-level average salaries may be interesting andinformative, but we do not recommend using the data to negotiatecontracts or plan budgets. Information based on your schools peerinstitutions is more appropriate for this purpose and may be availablethrough custom reports provided by DataDirect.

For additional copies of this guide or for information on how toleverage data for your schools needs, email AACSB InternationalCommunications at [email protected].

For students seeking the finest education, and companies seeking high-calibertalent, AACSB International accreditation is one of the most importantaffirmations of a quality business school. AACSBs accreditation for businessand accounting represents the highest standard of achievement for businessschools worldwide.

    a . a .

Only 5 percent of schools offering business degrees worldwide meet the rigorousstandards of AACSB International accreditation. The process confirms thatAACSB-accredited schools provide relevant knowledge and practices, and reflectan understanding of todays complex business environment.

Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality througha comprehensive peer review. These schools set forth a thoughtful and strategicplan, and then marshal the resources to achieve a vibrant and relevant mission.AACSB accreditation demands a superior facultysupporting high-caliberteaching and meaningful interaction between students and facultyand examines

curricula in terms of learning outcomes.

    a .

Just as business leaders and organizations face rising expectations for theirperformance, programs in business management education also must pursuehigher standards. AACSB has been dedicated to continuous relevance andimprovement since the adoption of the first standards in 1919. As AACSBexpands to improve business education across the globe, periodic review and

revision of these standards ensure that they continue to meet the diverse needs ofbusiness schools worldwide. These standards are interpreted and applied to eachinstitution within the context of the mission and goals of each school.

Established in 1916, AACSB provides the highest level of accreditation availableto business and accounting programs. Its founding members include:
