Advance Praise for Seeing Red: A Woman’s Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred.

"It takes a great deal of courage to embark on the expedition that Lone leads. From a sacred mountain in Tibet to the Nepali cave of a blood-soaked goddess, Lone Morch takes readers on a journey through layers of illusion, getting finally to the heart of the matter, the threshold of the goddess, the font of true love, and the source of real personal power. Love, loss, failure, renewal--Seeing Red has it all." - Linda Watanabe McFerrin, Author of The Hand of Buddha and Dead Love.

"The pilgrimage to Tibet's Mt. Kailas is supremely difficult, bringing the traveler face-to-face with hidden strengths and inner demons. It's always a journey of discovery. Lone Mørch's powerful memoir details an especially challenging expedition as she guides us through Nepal, along the route to the sacred mountain, and across her tumultuous inner landscape. Thoughtful and compelling, Seeing Red maps the unexpected places we seek and find personal power." - Jeff Greenwald, Author of Mister Raja's Neighborhood, Shopping for Buddhas, and Snake Lake.

"Readers, not just pilgrims, seek enlightenment. And memoirs often fail to provide those aha! moments. But Seeing Red overflows with insights into the feminine journey: how we wake up to our own power through risking heartbreak, and how it is only by becoming aware of our deepest selves that we can transcend. Seeing Red blends the spiritual and the physical in a heady mix that is both charming and bracing!" - Jane Ganahl, co-founder of the Litquake festival, author of Naked on the Page.

"Truly intimate with the world, Lone is a compelling heroine that takes us on an unforgettable journey into both dark and light places of our human heart, mind and soul, helping us discover how truly powerful we are." - Kristine Carlson, Author of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Women and Heartbroken Open

Seeing Red: A Women's Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred is an intimate memoir about a woman's search for personal power, a journey of climbing inner and outer mountains that takes her to the holy Mt. Kailas in Tibet, through a seven-year marriage, and into the arms of the fierce goddess Kali, where she discovers her powerful feminine self.

As much a memoir about coming into one's own as it is a love affair with the Himalayas, Seeing Red takes the reader on an unforgettable journey of creation and destruction.

The story of Denmark born Lone Mørch's transformation, it is every woman's story because it's a dispassionate tale of one woman who knowingly gives up on herself, and who has to fight tooth and nail to reclaim herself. In the end, the efforts are worth it, but she has to strip herself bare, lose everything she's held dear, and strip away everything she's built in order to see the truth.

For years Lone has worked intimately with women, getting them naked, metaphorically and literally, through her photography, and now, she’s coming naked on the page. In her achingly honest memoir, Lone bares her soul with both self-deprecating humor and the courage to dig deep and expose her own patterns that keeps her trapped and dancing around the flames of men’s approval.

We are with Lone as she falls in love, climbs mountains, deals with group dynamics gone awry, as her marriage begins to waver and she loses a child. Through it all, Lone shows us the inner journey of a driven, stubborn, spiritual woman seeking for her own liberation, and step-by-step she helps free us all.

She paints an enticing picture of that freedom, of what it is to live life as a full blown sensual woman. Written in the tradition of Eat Pray Love, Seeing Red is without the safety net of a paid year off to 'discover yourself' – instead it’s the messy real life situation of living your truth, year by year, with everything on the line and no ‘do-over’ is sight.

Seeing Red is a modern hero’s journey. The boon Lone brings back to share is her story and a sidekick program, Free Your Sacred Journey, to help guide others in their own sacred quest for soul, sovereignty and freedom.

Moving, inspiring, and ultimately triumphant, Seeing Red is an extraordinary tale of love, passion, and self-betrayal—and the discovery that personal power and freedom is found through the willingness to be naked with yourself and strip away all that keeps you trapped.
