ConvenienceConvenienceA to Z primarily provides tailored

one-on-one tutoring in the comfort and convenience of the child's home.

If you do not wish to have your child tutored in the home, you can choose an alternate location, such as a school or library. A chaperone must always be present.

ConvenienceConvenienceTutors schedule tutoring sessions

with families directly and can easily work around the family's busy schedule. Seven days a week, including weekend and holidays.

In-home aspect of program allows parents to be actively involved in child’s learning plan and instruction.

One-On-One AttentionOne-On-One AttentionOur program eliminates the

embarrassment of a group setting and replaces it with confidence in the privacy of the child's home.

Each child’s unique needs and learning styles are met. Since tutors aren’t juggling a large group of students, they can focus in on your child’s individual needs and areas of weakness.

One-On-One AttentionOne-On-One AttentionStudents with special needs (learning

disabilities, ADD/ADHD, ELL students) are given the instructional accommodations they need to learn.

Tutors offer remediation that targets a student’s areas of weakness. This type of remediation is often difficult in the larger classroom or large group setting.

One-On-One format allows for much student/tutor feedback to ensure student understands the concepts being taught.

Quality- AssessmentQuality- AssessmentWe use the SBTS (Standards Based

Testing System) to pre- and post-test students. The tests measure student proficiency on Delaware State Standards in reading/language arts and math for grades K-12. Mid-terms are also available.

Assessments are valid and reliable and are based on research on effective instructional practices and national standards.

Page 9: A to Z Tutoring- parent presentation

Quality- AssessmentQuality- AssessmentThe results of the pre-test and the

skill gaps identified serve to direct and generate goals that are included on each child’s learning plan.

Helpful reports are automatically created to show parents general areas of strengths and weaknesses. Summary reports track progress in each skill area and more general subject areas.
