Th e CAST In alphabetical Order
Originating from one father‟s realization that his young son had trouble remem-
bering his multiplication tables, yet could remember almost any Rolling Stones
song, Schoolhouse Rock was born to help children learn better through their
natural love of music. Three is a Magic Number was the first of many wonderful
songs to come from ABC‟s Emmy Award-winning series. The original series ran on
Saturday mornings from 1973-1985. New episodes, as well as the classics, aired
from 1993-1999, and still more episodes were produced in 2009!
Schoolhouse Rock Live premiered in 1994, and was conceived as a cast of six.
The names of the six leads are the authentic names of the original cast! School-
house Rock Live! Junior premiered in 1998, and added the chorus. It tells the
story of Tom, a new teacher nervously preparing for his first day of school. The
Schoolhouse Rock gang attempt to convince Tom through song that he has what
it takes to begin a successful teaching career. The nostalgic tunes will remain in
your mind long after you leave our theater.
I am very excited to be making my directorial debut with Schoolhouse Rock Live!
Junior. Thank you to the many volunteers without whom the show would not be
possible, especially our producer, Jama Lintol, our student director, Ashley
Palardy, our props manager, Julie Shick, our set designer, Mike Harbaugh, our
webmaster and program designer, Melissa Weimer, our photographers, Tom and
Peg Convery, our publicity chair, Beth Niepokuj, our cast party chairs, Laura
Pangori and Brenda Kambakhsh, our lighting and sound technicians, Joe Martin
and Dave Fazzini and to Josh Vanderweide and Dave Fazzini for allowing us to
use their classroom. A special thank you to our choreographer, Maria Pangori,
for giving our cast their moves and making it look so easy! Thank you to our ad-
ministration and our building supervisor, Julie Frakes for supporting our Per-
forming Arts Department. The many talents of our cast are overwhelming, and I
have attempted to showcase as many of them as possible. I hope you enjoy their
performance as much as I have enjoyed working with them!

but she grew more fascinated with drama. In Fourth grade she
participated in a play inspired by old McDonald‟s Farm, she was a
kitty cat. Lila plays the flute and has been in choir for three con-
secutive years.
Lila would like to thank Ms. Blaisz, her music teacher in elementary
school, Mr. and Mrs. Martin, and Mr. McGuire her mentors in art
and music at Marist Academy. Special thanks to the audience who
found the time to come to this play. Thank you and have fun.
