Holy God, you are the giver of life. You have created us from the dust of the earth, have breathed life into our bodies and have called us to be your people. Heal our brokenness and restore us to a right relationship with you, one another, and your creation, through Christ our Lord.

High School meets 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., dinner is served at 5:30, and Middle School meets 6 to 7 p.m. A mere $3 gets you an absolutely delicious dinner!

DAVIDSON COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF RELIGION presents the 2016 Otts-Maloney lecture series. Christian Wiman, poet and essayist Senior Lecturer in Religion and Literature Yale Divinity School. Sunday, March 13 and Monday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the 900 room. The lecture is free and open to the public.
LENT This year Davidson College Presbyterian Church is journeying through Lent using the theme “Be Holy” to guide our prayer, study, and worship time. We will together discover what it means to be a people ‘set apart’ and how we might realize our ‘Holy identity’ in Christ. We encourage you to gather with others for a weekly devotional using our weekly study emailed each Sunday. These may also be found on the church website (www.dcpc.org) under the tab learn/adult.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Do you want to encourage children to attend church, helping them feel comfortable and welcome in the worship experience? We need a volunteer to coordinate the maintenance of our children's worship bags. Please contact Jenny Alexander for more information at [email protected].
CANDY IS NEEDED in preparation for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Please leave donations in the marked containers near entrances. We request only candy with no nuts, please. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place Saturday March 26 at 10:30 a.m., starting in the chapel. Spread the word!
NOMINATIONS The 2016 Nominating Committee welcome your suggestions for persons to be considered for the offices of Ruling Elder and Deacon in the class of 2019. Your recommendations, with comments, would be appreciated. To qualify, candidates should be a member for at least one year, a faithful participant in worship and the life of the church, and a financial steward who faithfully contributes to its ministry. Please utilize the Nomination Forms available in the pews, welcome centers, and church information center. You can also go to www.dcpc.org. Please place forms in the offering plate or return to the church office.

ORGAN AT DAVIDSON The tenth annual Bach Birthday Bash, the concluding program of this year's Organ at Davidson Series, will be performed by Dr. Andrew Scanlon, professor at East Carolina University. The concert is Monday, March 14 at 7:30 in the sanctuary. Admission is free, with a meet-the-artist reception by the Friends of the Organ. More information at dcpc.org/organ.
PREPARE YOUR EASTER BASKETS! It’s almost time for the annual egg hunt. Plan to join us at DCPC for an exciting morning of song, egg hunting, snacks, crafts and fellowship. Saturday March 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Children will be divided by age group for hunting on the church/college grounds then we will meet at the Congregation House across the street for a celebration and crafts. All are welcome. Festivities will wrap up by Noon. Don’t forget your basket! Middle and high schoolers are invited to hide eggs and help set up at 9 a.m. In Lingle Chapel. We can’t do this without our youth- thank you!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE weaves the ministries and gifts of hospitality, worship, and faith formation into a night where we can grow together. Healthy, delicious meals (vegetarian options available by request) are prepared by Chef Betsy Verhey, 5:45 p.m. in the Congregation House. Please make a reservation at www.dcpc.org or call the church office by noon on Mondays. This weeks menu is soup and sandwich night. Childcare support is offered during WNL mealtime from 6-7 p.m.
HELP PROVIDE A HOME-COOKED MEAL Remember when you were in college and longed for a home-cooked meal? Times haven’t changed and our Davidson students feel just the same. In an effort to provide a little break, many DCPC members have stepped up to deliver delicious meals once a month for our Westminster Fellowship meeting on a Monday night. This is a great “one off” opportunity to serve our Davidson students. We still need volunteers for April 11 and May 2. of Religion at Davidson College, will teach “Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism.” The course
will present a brief overview and history of these three centrally important religions of Asia.
