People/Sheep: LET US WORSHIP GOD! *HYMN No. 664 Morning Has Broken MORNING HYMN PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE PARDON As we join in confession today, we invite you to take a piece of ribbon at the end of the pew, and to write something you want to share with God on it. It could be a burden that you carry, a desire for forgiveness because of mistakes you have made, or a desire for reconciliation with God or another person. When we begin singing “As the Deer” after the sermons, our ushers will invite you to come forward by rows to drape your ribbon on the cross. PRAYER CARDS are available in the pew racks or online (www.dcpc.org). Requests are made known to those gathered for silent intercessory prayer on Wednesday mornings at 11:30 in Lingle Chapel. All are welcome and encouraged to join in prayer at that hour in the chapel or wherever you are. YOUTH GROUP will not meet this afternoon. High School youth will meet next Sunday, March 30, at 4:30 p.m. and Middle School at 5:30 in the Congregation House. CAMP GRIER Come learn about great opportunities at Camp Grier. This afternoon, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia (1621 E. Garrison Boulevard). Staff from the camp will be present to answer questions, play fun games with children and help you as you consider camp options for your children or yourself. A great way for prospective campers to see the fun of summer camp! LENTEN SMALL GROUPS You are invited to join a Lenten Small Group. Each week we will provide a brief discussion guide related to the upcoming Sunday’s sermon text at www.dcpc.org and in This Week at DCPC. You are invited to attend one of the groups already scheduled (www.dcpc.org; click on Lent Small Groups ) or start your own group at a time that works best for you. PRAYER AT THE CLOSE OF DAY is this Tuesday evening at 8:30 in Lingle Chapel. You are invited to this brief contemplative service of music, prayer and reflection each week. The March 25 service will follow the pattern of Taizé WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE dinner is this Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in the Congregation House. This week’s menu is Teriyaki Chicken. Make reservations online (www.dcpc.org) or with the church office (704-892-5641). PASTOR’S LUNCH AT THE PINES is Tuesday, March 25 at 12:00 noon. Guest speakers from Lydia's Loft and The Bin will talk about their ministries and you can bring donations to the event for these organizations -- old sheets and towels, clothing, furniture - you name it! So clean out a closet and come celebrate over Brunch with Presbyterian Women. DCPC’s FIRST GAME NIGHT is this coming Saturday, March 29. Come to the Congregation House at 5:00 p.m. with finger food appetizers (anything that can be eaten without much fuss) and game(s) to share. Drinks and dessert provided. We’ll be there until 9:00 p.m. and you can come when you can and leave when you must. All ages welcomed! We will meet the last Saturday of every month, so plan to join the fun. Children– Faith Walk continues to study Luke 15:11-32-the Parable of the

Prodigal Son. Children are learning about God’s great love for them as they

learn about repentance and forgiveness. We gather at 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary

for a brief time of worship before our workshops.
