About This Document
Overview The Telecom Power 48300/A (TP48300/A) is a mini telecom power system. The output power of a single rectifier module is 48 V/30 A. The maximum output current of the TP48300/A power system is 180 A. The power system is also compatible with 48 V/50 A rectifier modules, and thus the maximum output current reaches 300 A. It supplies reliable DC power to –48 V telecom equipment. This product description covers the following contents: the structure and exterior, functions, features, performance counters, power cabinet, power distribution unit, rectifier module, and monitoring module of the TP48300/A power system. TP48300/A is illustrated as follows:

7 Rectifier Module
A rectifier module converts the AC input power into –48 V/30 A DC or -48V/50A DC power. According to the load, the power system can be configured with two to six rectifier modules.
Exterior The front panel of the rectifier module provides the power operating indicator, protection indicator, and fault indicator. Figure 7-1 shows the exterior of the rectifier module.

LCD The LCD can display the operating parameters, operating status, alarm status, setting parameters, and controlling parameters of the DC power, AC power, modules, and batteries. These parameters are collected by the monitoring module. You can set parameters and control functions by pressing four buttons.
Indicators on the Panel The panel of the monitoring module has two indicators (running indicator and alarm indicator) to indicate the operating status of the system.
When the power system is functioning properly, the running indicator (green) of the monitoring module is ON.
When the monitoring module detects that an alarm is generated in the power system, the alarm indicator (red) on the panel is ON. When the alarm is cleared, the alarm indicator is OFF.
