Th e Nobles mission says it all. Whether at Assembly, in the classroom,

or on the playing fi eld, Nobles students are taught the importance of

getting involved and motivated, in simple terms, to improve and enrich

the world around them. For inspiration, they need only to look to the

larger Nobles community—to those who, year after year, are active in

campus life, support fellow classmates and friends, and give back, not

only to the school, but also to the greater public good.

Th e strength of the Annual Nobles Fund (anf) is an exemplar of this

philanthropic spirit. Every year, thousands of graduates, parents, grand-

parents and friends refl ect on the role that Nobles has played—and

often continues to play—in their lives and show their appreciation by

making gifts to the anf.

Th is collective generosity is extraordinary and enables Nobles to fulfi ll

its mission for today’s students and those in generations to come.

Annual Nobles Fund gifts constitute essential, unrestricted dollars, and

comprise an incredibly strong 12 percent of Nobles operating income

each year. Whereas many independent schools rely less on their annual

giving income as a key revenue source, Nobles does not, making anf

gifts all the more valuable.

From a business perspective, tuition does not cover the school’s

annual operational costs. Th e true cost of a Nobles education is roughly

, more per year than tuition per student. Nobles, however, is

dedicated to the quality and variety of its programs and small classes,

and, therefore, uses anf gifts to bridge the gap between tuition and

actual cost per student.

Literally, every dollar counts and helps to make Nobles the place it is
