Parents we know you are busy and need to get to work in a timely manner. In order to expedite the flow of traffic in the loop, please remember these procedures:

• Please pull as far forward as possible to unload your passengers. Stopping halfway slows the traffic line and is not polite to your neighbors trying to hurry and get to work.

• Please stop in front of the crosswalk when the stop sign is facing you. It is against the law for a vehicle to be in the crosswalk at the same time as a pedestrian regardless of which side of the crosswalk they are in. It is also against the law to run a stop sign and the crossing guard will change the sign as soon as she knows it is safe for all.

• Students will not be allowed to cross the crosswalk in the parent loop without an accompanying adult. Students will not be allowed to cross the crosswalk from the parent loop parking lot into the interior of campus without an adult. At dismissal, students will not cross the blue line before the crosswalk that leads to the parent loop parking lot until an adult crosses and picks the student(s) up.

• Please remember to refrain from using a cell phone while driving in the loop. The safety of many precious lives is dependent on giving full attention to driving safely in this area.

CHANGING THE WAY HOME

Changes for students “How We Go Home” from school are to be communicated to the teacher and office in advance, except in the case of emergency. Changes can only be made by parents or a guardian. Students must go home as designated and documented by the teacher, unless the parent has followed the procedures below. In the event that a student must go home a different way, students may ONLY be released to someone other than a parent or guardian with written notice, and with the parent/guardian placing the person on the student’s emergency card prior to the event. Please remind your child(ren) that they are to go home only as you have arranged for them previously as their parent/ guardian. Thank you again for your support to insure our children’s safety.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT Students receive a copy of the Code of Student Conduct each school year, and students’ families are required to sign off on its contents. If you did not receive a copy, please send a note to your child’s teacher. After you have read it, please sign and return it.

FREE BREAKFAST School Way Café will be offering free

breakfasts to all students the entire school year. School lunch prices will remain the same.
