Planning Bill Implementation of The White Paper, Planning for a Sustainable

Future - May 2007 to :-

• Streamline the planning process LDF

• Single consents regime for major infrastructure projects with decisions being taken by a new Infrastructure Planning Commission 

• The Secretary of State would no longer have the final say on major infrastructure decisions

• Statutory consultation before submission of the application

but the maximum fee went up 400%

• Maximum Fee from £50,000 to £250,000
