Luminaire design today is very different to what it was some years ago.

Stakeholders today are more conscious of good lighting practice and the effect on the environment.

As a result, Standards are introduced to help safeguard these values.

Aiming a floodlight up into the sky to light a building is now considered unacceptable.

Installing a streetlight with a bare lamp in a glass bowl is equally unacceptable.

Specifications from consultants are more and precise and stringent than ever before.

As a result the general design of outdoor fittings are changing to meet these needs.
