Monday Toddler Group at St Paul’s (SCT)

Toddler Group runs every Monday morning from 9.30 - 11.15 am during term-time.

Babies, toddlers and pre-school age children will find a great selection of toys, books

and a weekly craft activity to entertain them, whilst their parents and carers can

enjoy a catch up with friends, tea, coffee and delicious home-made cakes. Water,

juice and a selection of healthy snacks are also provided for the children.

Toddler Praise at Saltaire URC (SCT)

Mothers, Babies and Toddlers Praise meeting every Monday (in term time) from 1

pm to 2:45 pm in the lower church rooms. Dads and Grandparents are welcome

too! Meet together sing and pray and enjoy fellowship.

Rendezvous at Shipley Baptist Church (SCT)

Mondays, 2pm – 4pm. A wide and varied programme of events and outings,

including some day trips, but usually events take place between 2 pm – 4 pm on

Mondays monthly with light refreshments included.

CAP Job Club at Shipley Baptist Church (SCT)

Mondays 12 noon - 2.00pm. Regular eight-week programmes to help people looking

for work create a CV and learn the skills of job interviews in company with others.

A hands-on painting class for the over 55s. Most people who

join this class have never painted, but soon find themselves

producing landscapes with acrylic paints on canvas.

This is a practical class, so please wear clothes you don’t

mind getting paint on! Supported by the Big Lottery Fund.

Knit and Natter Group get together on Tuesday Afternoons from 1 – 3 pm. Whether

you are an experienced knitter, want to learn or simply fancy a natter and a cuppa,

come along.

A great meeting place for parents, carers and pre-school children and babies,

9.45 – 11.30 am on Tuesdays. Co-ordinated by St Margaret’s Church with the aim of

showing God’s love through this welcoming group for toddlers and their adults.

Includes a light lunch. £1 for adults, 50p for children including the lunch.

Following on from the PATCH session, the Family Café serves to provide a nutritious

hot meal for parents, carers and pre-school children. Voluntary donations are

the grown-ups. We generally finish each session with a singing time. There is a small

charge of 50p per child over 6 months. Babies under 6 months are free.

Saturday Café at St Paul’s (SCT)

Saturday Cafe runs every Saturday morning between 10am and 12 noon. It is staffed

by volunteers and, as of September 2017, is an official Place of Welcome. Places of

Welcome is a growing network of hospitality run by local community groups who

want to make sure that everyone in their neighbourhood has a place to go for a

friendly face, a cup of tea and a conversation, if and when they need it. A place

where people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.

Tea and coffee are served free of charge and our delicious home-made cakes,

scones, toasted teacakes and crumpets are available to purchase for just £1 each.

Why not pop in for a break from your Saturday morning shopping? All welcome!

clothes. The Repair Café is all about fixing, repurposing and

upcycling. If you have skills in repairing textiles, woodwork,

electronics, computers or any other common items, and

would like to support local people to fix their stuff or are just

Shipley Repair Café (Kirkgate Centre)

Three times a year, 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Shipley Repair Café is where people can come with their

broken things and be supported by local volunteers to get

them fixed.

We have a big team of volunteers who may be able to help

you fix all sorts of household items including furniture,

textiles, electrical items, audio equipment, computers, etc.

Please let the Repair Café know in advance what you intend to bring along. You can

send details via twitter, email or Facebook. Everyone is welcome. The Repair Café is

all about fixing, repurposing and upcycling. If you have skills in repairing textiles,
