information about Courses,

Equivalencies, Programs, and more!

Information for students can be found using the Student tab on the

navigation bar.

Search for Course Equivalencies

The ability for search for course equivalencies can be found in the Quick Links menu and under the

Student tab.

Identify at least one FROM institution.

Select the TO institution from the drop down menu.

Search for Course Equivalencies

As you begin typing in the “Transfer FROM” field, a list of matching institutions will be returned. Click on the institution you wish to select.

If you check this box, only

participating South Carolina institutions will be displayed in the “Transfer FROM” field.

The “Transfer TO” field is a drop-down list that contains all participating South Carolina institutions.

Tip: While additional search criteria can be added, it is best to start with a very

general search.

SC Universally Transferable Courses are courses which are guaranteed by policy to transfer between and among all

two- and four-year public institutions in the state.

Additional search criteria can be added to refine

your search.

Search for Course Equivalencies

The search results screen allows you to review the equivalencies that

resulted from your search.

Results may span multiple pages. Click the right arrow at the bottom of the screen

to advance.

more information about an

equivalency.

The “Refine Your Search” option will allow you to

change your search criteria.

Search for Courses

Enter the name of an institution or specific course search criteria and

select “See Results.”

Course information may span multiple pages.

You can add or change your search criteria and

search again.

Search for College Profiles

You can select an institution from the list or find an institution based on its location, whether it

offers a program you are interested in pursuing, its size,

or the highest degree type offered.

All fields to search for college profiles are optional, but you must provide information for at least one

field to initiate the search.

Click on an institution’s name to view its College Profile.

View College Profiles

All profile information is provided and

maintained by each institution.

Scroll down the page to see additional

information about transfer policies, requirements, deadlines, and

more!

Request More Information

Select the “Request More Information” link to submit your

contact information to the institutions from which you are

interested in receiving more information.

Submit your contact information to institutions of your choice. A

representative from the institution(s) will contact you.

Note: Personal information submitted through

SCTRAC.ORG is not shared with third parties.

When you are considering enrolling at an institution, you

have the option to indicate your interests and any additional

information you wish to share with the institutional

representative.

Compare College Profiles

Select multiple institutions to compare their profiles side-by-side.

Use the "Remove" option to reduce the number of

institutions that are displayed side-by-side.

Search for Transfer Agreements

Transfer Agreements are posted to show students formal agreements regarding the transfer of credit between two institutions. Enter search criteria to view the agreements

available.

Note: All search criteria are optional.

Select “View” to open a copy of the transfer agreement

posted by the institution.

Use the “Refine Search” option to change your search criteria.

Search for Programs

Enter an Institution name, Keyword(s), or Award Type to search for programs offered.

Note: You must provide information for

at least one search criterion.

You can change your search criteria and search again.

Click on the “+” and “-” icons to expand

or collapse the program data for each institution.

Create a Student Account

Select “Create an Account” from the home page of SCTRAC

By creating a student account you can:

• Enter and save your course history; • Create Equivalency Maps to show the credit awarded based on your course history;• Store documents such as a resume, writing samples, and portfolios; • Share information with school admission officers, advisors, and others; and • Receive valuable information from institutions that respond to

your shared information.

Create a Student Account

Select a Username and enter your name, email address, and a password to create your account.

Note: All personal information is confidential and will not be shared with third parties.

Be sure to read the “Terms of Use” and select the checkbox.

Getting Started with your Student Account

The “Welcome” and “What Do You Know?” areas are great places to start

once you have created an account. Follow the steps listed to enter your

course history, create equivalency maps, and share your information with

recipients you have chosen.

The “My Account” links allow you to access all areas of your

account from any page.

My Course History

Three different options are available for entering your course history. You can:

• Add courses manually;• Import your courses from your institution; and• Add standardized test scores.

Note: You must have a current, valid student user account issued by the two-year institution where you are enrolled in order to import your courses from the institution.

When you click “Add courses manually,” a new screen will appear for you to provide course information.

Select your institution from the drop-down menu, enter your student credentials, and import your courses.

Note: If your institution is not

available, you will have to manually add your course

information.

Select the test type, title, and year taken from the drop-down

menus and enter your score.

My Course History – Find Transfer InstitutionsAfter completing your Course History, click on the “Find Transfer Institutions” button to see

how your coursework transfers.

The “Credits” columns indicate how many credits may be awarded

when transferring, depending on whether the credits meet

institutional criteria for transfer.

You can compare results for up to three institutions at a time. Select the institutions using the checkboxes

and then click on “Compare Selected Schools.”

The results show the transferability of

courses, taking each institution’s minimum grade for transfer into

account. This “compare” action automatically

places each institution’s equivalency results in the “My Equivalency Maps” area of your

account.

Select “Create New Equivalency Map.”

Select the institutions for

which you want to generate an

equivalency map and then click on

“Compare Selected Schools” to see how your

coursework transfers to those

institutions.

All equivalency maps created will be saved in your account and can be accessed at any time

by clicking on the institution’s name.

If you do not want to save the equivalency map, you will need to

delete it.

My Storage Center

Upload documents that you may wish to share with recipients to your Storage Center.

Sharing your information is easy! Enter a

recipient’s email address and select

the information you wish to share.
