From the Houndstooth Basics - Orange (B), cut:• (3) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 43 ½” strips.• (2) 4 ½” x 31 ½” WOF strips.

From the Blocks - Red (C), cut:• (3) 6 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 6 ½” squares.

From the Sunflower - Cream (D), cut:• (1) 4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 4” squares.

From the Plaid - Burgundy (E), cut:• (2) 4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (16) 4” squares.

From the Starry Basics - Indigo (F), cut:• (3) 2 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (48) 2 ¼” squares.• (1) 8 ¼” square from the remaining fabric. Cut the square across both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles.

From the Starry Basics - Blue (G), cut:• (1) 4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (8) 4” squares.• (1) 4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (16) 2 ¼” x 4” strips.

From the Houndstooth Basics - Gold (H), cut:• (1) 4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (16) 2 ¼” x 4” strips.

From the Sunflower - Burgundy (I), cut:• (1) 4” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (8) 4” squares.• (1) 2 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (16) 2 ¼” squares.• (8) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Indian Corn and Pumpkin - Lt. Teal (J), cut:• (2) 4” strips. Sub-cut (12) 4” squares.• (1) 8 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (1) 8 ¼” square and (1) 4 ⅜” square. From the Plaid - Cream (L), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (1) 8 ¼” square and (1) 4 ⅜” square. Cut the 8 ¼” square across both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles (only 2 triangles will be use). Cut the 4 ⅜” square across (1) diagonal to make (2) 4 ⅜” triangles.

From the Houndstooth Basics - Brown (M), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” square. Cut the square on both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles.

From the Indian Corn and Pumpkin - Cream (N), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” square. Cut the square on both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles.

From the Sunflower - Rose (O), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” square. Cut the square on both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles.

From the Allover Characters - Butter (P), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” square. Cut the square on both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles.

From the Plaid - Brown (Q), cut:• (2) 4” x 35 ½” WOF strips.• (4) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3 ½” x 78 ½” strips.• (3) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3 ½” x 49 ½” strips.• (3) 3” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3” x 50 ½” strips.

From the Allover Characters - Teal (R), cut:• (5) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 84 ½” strips.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the ends together with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 57 ½” strips.

From the Houndstooth Basics - Lt. Teal (S), cut:• (1) 8 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (24) 1 ½” x 8 ½” strips.• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (24) 1 ½” x 6 ½” strips.

From the Starry Basics - Green (T), cut:• (1) 8 ¼” square. Cut the square across both diagonals to make (4) 8 ¼” triangles. Note: You will only use (2) of the triangles.

From the Sunflower - Burgundy (Backing), cut:• (2) 94” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together and trim to 65” x 94” rectangle.

Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 43 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 23 ½” x 43 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 31 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 30 ½” x 50 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric S strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric C square. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric S strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric C square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 2). Trim block to measure 7 ½” x 7 ½”. Repeat to make (12) Block One squares total.

3. Sew (1) 4” Fabric I square to the left side of (1) 4” Fabric G square to make the top row. Sew (1) 4” Fabric J square to the left side of (1) 4” Fabric E square to make the bottom row. Sew the (2) rows together lengthwise. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 7 ½” Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the sewn block to make (1) Block Two rectangle (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (8) Block Two rectangles total.

4. Place (1) 2 ¼” Fabric F square on the left side of (1) 2 ¼” x 4” Fabric G strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance (Fig. 5).

5. Place another 2 ¼” Fabric F square on the right side of the 2 ¼” x 4” Fabric G strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 6). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 1 strip (Fig. 7).

6. Repeat Steps 4-5 to make (16) Unit 1 strips total.

Quilt Top Assembly(Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)11. Sew (1) 3” x 50 ½” Fabric Q strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4” x 35 ½” Fabric Q strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew (4) Block Two squares and (3) Block One squares together, alternating them. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of the Center Block.

13. Sew (3) Block One squares and (2) Block Three strips together, alternating them. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew the Top/Bottom borders onto the Center Block.

15. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 78 ½” Fabric Q strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 3 ½” Fabric K square to each end of (1) 3 ½” x 49 ½” Fabric Q strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

16. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 84 ½” Fabric R strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 57 ½” Fabric R strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

17. Layer and quilt as desired.

18. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric I strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

19. Bind as desired.

7. Repeat Steps 4-5 and refer to Figure 8 for fabric identification, location and seam direction to make (16) Unit 2 strips.

8. Sew (1) Unit 1 strip to the top of (1) Unit 2 strip lengthwise to make (1) Unit 3 block (Fig. 9). Repeat to make (16) Unit 3 blocks total.

9. Sew together (1) 4” Fabric D square, (2) Unit 3 blocks and (1) 4” Fabric E square to make the Top Block Row. Pay attention to the orientation of the Unit 3 blocks. Sew together (1) 4” Fabric E square, (2) Unit 3 blocks and (1) 4” Fabric J square to make the Bottom Block Row. Pay attention to the orientation of the Unit 3 blocks. Sew the Top Block Row to the top of the Bottom Block Row lengthwise to make (1) Block Three strip (Fig. 10). Repeat to make (4) Block Three strips total.

10. Follow Figure 11 and sew (1) 4 ⅜” Fabric L triangle, (13) assorted 8 ¼” triangles and (1) 4 ⅜” Fabric J triangle together to make (1) Top/Bottom Border. Repeat to make a second Top/Bottom Border.
