Promote transparency, openness and accountability throughout Conservative Future.

Members should be able to easily find out who is making decisions and the rationale behind them. In order to

ensure this, the minutes of any National Executive or Regional College meetings plus all approved expenditure

would be published online so they are readily available to every single member. Moreover, if elected, we wouldendeavour to reduce the number of appointed positions and, where possible, guarantee that only officers

directly elected by CF members with a democratic mandate are involved in the decision-making process

Enhance and develop Conservative Future as a truly national organisation.

We fundamentally believe that CF functions best when it is run locally rather than centrally. Crucial to this is

maintaining a Regional structure that empowers local branches and areas by giving them the autonomy and

resources to operate fully and effectively in their own right. Ultimately the primary goal of the National

Executive should be to provide support and assistance to branches, areas and regions, not attempting to run or

replace them.

Offer campaign support, where needed and requested, for the 2013 Council elections, upcoming

European elections and the incredibly  important ‘Better Together’ campaign.

Local branches and activists should have total access on demand to all of CF’s national campaign resources and

support, especially if they are in a constituency that is part of the 40/40 strategy. Furthermore, we recognise the

importance of providing subsidised and accessible transport to campaign locations. We are also committed to

maximising support to CF members attempting to reform and engage with the NUS.

Make CF equally accessible and appealing to both students and young professionals.

Many students interested in CF find they have the time but not necessarily the finances to get as involved as

they would like to. Conversely, when they become young professionals, it can often be the case they have the

money but not the time to attend all the events they would like to. Accordingly, if elected, we would aim to

make events more affordable for students and more convenient for young professionals. CF should be able to

complement, not compete with, its members’ professional and academic commitments. Where possible, we are

also keen to provide greater support to university branches and ensure their members are properly registered

with the Party.

Work to assist members with organising social and training events across the country .

Often the best and most enjoyable CF events are planned, promoted and implemented at a local level. We

recognise this and are committed to providing support to members if they need assistance with organising

events, especially if they are a relatively new branch. Additionally, if elected, we would implement a broad range

of training events that would allow members to gain essential skills, such as public speaking, that are useful bothprofessionally and politically

Strive to encourage members from all wings of the Party to get involved with CF .

As a large organisation, CF members will invariably possess a broad and eclectic variety of political views. By

continuing to build and promote the CF Policy Forum, CF can enable all of its members to help form the policies

it will be campaigning for over the coming years.
