LONGROAD DIGITAL VIDEO, ORGANIZING YOUR BIN. This is the bin, its where your footage and audio is stored ready to use on your timeline. This is the clip viewing screen it displays the clip you are viewing (un- edited clips). this can be used to cut clips to put onto the timeline. This can also be used to create key frames for your editing. This is the second viewer it displays the footage coming from your timeline (edited clips). This is the toolbar which has alot of useful things to edit your timeline like cutting clips with the razor blade, sliding clips along, zooming in and out and more. This very faint pink line is the audio and can be changed at selected points (in decibels) or all at once for each audio segment. With the video it can change the opacity of the clip making it darker or lighter. This red text will display if the video is out of sync with the audio and by how many seconds. The line separating each audio clip from others to show where a new audio begins. it also displays the name of the audio. To organize my bin i first renamed all the clips to suit what was actually contained in the clip such as vox pox, interview questions and answers and so on. Then i created folders named after them and put the categorized clips into the right folder which made it easy for me too find clips i wanted to use in my video.
