Jesus and his disciples were out walking when they saw blind beggar
in the street. The beggar’s name was
Bartimaeus.
Bartimaeus had been blind all his life. The disciples asked Jesus if this was because he
had sinned.
Jesus explained the Bartimaeus had not sinned. His blindness had happened so that God’s work could be
shown to Bartimaeus and others around him.
Then Jesus spat on the ground and made some mud. He gently spread the mud over Bartimaeus’ eyes.
Bartimaeus did what Jesus had said to him. As soon as he had washed the mud away from his eyes he
could see!
Everyone around him were amazed! They all wanted to find out more about Jesus.
